Just been thinking about this Mike - personally I planned on just a brew but try as I might I cannot recall ever going to Pete's Eats over a 25 year period and not having eaten

I suspect I will give in and eat as well

ps - I'm not on commission

ha ha well I am not massively keen on eating 1st thing from getting up, esp if getting up is going to be before 0600..I'm easy either way though ..see what everyone else fancies.

how many are we up to ? is there only about 3/4 of us ?

Mike, I think that the count so far is as follows

You
Bychan
Droopsnoot
Dave Kitson
Aaron (non Pentax user)
and little old me

I hope I haven't missed anyone out

I don't know if other will pitch up if the weather forecast remains favourable we will have to wait and see

With 2,000 + views I guess this remains a possibility

If the weather is good we should be spoiled with the number of opportunities although as mentioned earlier I have some crap weather options should they be needed

Part of my reason for Llanberis as a start point is the number of options open for most weathers nearby.

So far if the forecast is correct (everything crossed:lol if the wind is relatively low we may have sunshine, cloud and maybe reflections in some of the more sheltered locations such as Llyn Crafnant but we will have to wait and see

Whilst we won't be catching a sunrise hopefully we can hope for decent light

Who knows Cliff P may even pitch up for a go on the Snowdon Train

I certainly hope so Mike

If anyone browsing this thread does not fancy the early start and wants to join part way through just speak up and I will send you my mobile number by pm so you/they etc can ring and track us down at a time of your choice

However, missing the start maybe missing the photo ops

I can't carry any food with me, so probably a good idea to eat at Pete's
The BBC weather forecast for Saturday is still very positive, here's everything crossed that they're correct

Just seen the local forecast and chaecked the MWIS..looks like your timing is pretty good, should be a good day, it would be worth getting there for sunrise I think, light winds expected which may mean the chance of some of those stunning Snowdonia reflections

Hi Simon

Thanks for that info - unfortunately it looks as though I won't making it for sunrise (I need sleep - I have a tooth/gum abscess so I am full of antiobiotics and painkillers and I am required to be sociable tonight or at least being taxi : so no 4.30am start for me) although I will be in the car about 6.30am but hopefully decent light for the rest of the day may make up for it a little.

If anyone is planning to be there at sunrise and catching up with the stragglers inlcluding myself that's fine - Pete's eats won't be open until 8am though

I will see those who attend in the morning

Cheers

My apologies for not getting in touch to confirm I wasn't coming, I intended to post yesterday and totally forgot. Hope you had a good time, I did manage an hour in Llangollen this afternoon and it was clear.

Maybe next time....
