If I see one more pointless landscape or 'fashion' portrait I'm going to scream!!!

As personal holiday snaps they're fine, but not worthy of considering as entries to the PPG!!!
Cheers, HG

I've asked this question previously and have attempted unsuccesfully to follow the careful instructions given - but I still have to ask again: How do I fix a link from here to my PPG portfolio?

Go to your page (opening a new tab if you want to stay here too) highlight the web address in your browser, click Ctrl+C to copy.

Back to this page and click Ctrl+V to paste:

http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/artists/johnriley

and you should have a link.
Sorry John but I'm still not getting this. Do you mean My page on the PPG or my profile page on here? I've tried both. I've copied my PPG address from my details on that site and its in my profile here but the link still does not appear on my posts in this forum.

David, are you trying to put a link in your signature? You have a Photobucket link there already, so the same process would make you a PPG link.

It's worth noting that links in signatures are not encouraged, but you can put your link as your website address in your profile.

I'm not quite sure where you're going wrong, but if you drop me a PM with more specific details I'll look at it with you and see if we can sort it out.
Best regards, John

This is test to see if my PPG link comes up:
My PPG: http://www.pentaxphotogallery.com/artists/davidtrout
Well it seems to work here.
I pasted it onto this thread but it hasn't come up on my previous threads. Does it only appear on subsequent posts and not retrospectively?

I'm with you on that one, girl in abligitory wet beech pose just gets a bit contrived and boring after a while. I must confess to passing on 99% of cute baby shots.

Beauty is the eye of the beholder, and did you see some of the beauties on that beach

Sorry, sincere apologies, the last remark I made like that offended someone

But back on topic, not everyone gets the right feedback on their images, before I joined my Camera Club my own snaps were mediocre to say the least. Unless your a natural then you wont improve without constructive C&C, perhaps voters should have the option to make a few comments on why they have given the thumbs down for an image, anonymously of course.

I will probably have to pull my finger out and join a camera club, I must confess to feeling a bit stuck and not improving in the way I would like.

Thanks for the complement but I still feel like one step above a total beginner with so far to go and I'm not moving on fast enough, although I probably feel the same as everyone else.

More luck 3 photos that I entered were approved in 12hrs,5 out of 8 has made me very happy,

The photos that were entered last night(aus time)were all wildlife, and because of the help from this forum, have improved no end.

I still have not obtained, or linked to a website from PPG,it is beyond my computor skills.

thank you Jack.
