mmmmmmm 18-135mm I'll have two please.
Pray its in the 16-45mm performance bracket.
Or as good as the 18-55mm WR kit and I'll be happy.

Ah well. I guess we just have to wait and see.
Maybe these rumours are more what people hope it is than what it in reality is.
It is still top of my shopping list until I hear the real specs which might make me think otherwise.
I can't see where they would put a double card slot in a K-7 sized camera anyway.
I would like double slots as I would expect them to allow you to have a fast card in one and to copy contents to a slow card in the other. Archiving on the trot pretty handy for extended trips. A few cheap slow cards as well as a fast card.

A great loss to comedy. Was it the cartoonist, the lobster or the fags coffee and eggs which killed him? we shall never know. The eyes were due to Graves disease.
Back on topic, sounds a promising walkabout lens. Might even be tempted by it, even though I have the 17-70 and 50-135. Damn and I thought my LBA was cured

I have a Sigma 17-70, which now I've calibrated the AF on the body, is pretty darn good and a 50-135. dougf8 wrote:

An 18-135 sounds tempting but my next wad will probably go on the K-5

Mine too, but I may get the kit if there is really is an 18-135WR option, instead of just the body.

well if there is the usual kit/retail price difference, you can always buy the whole kit then flog the lens off at cost-difference if you don't like it, and everyone is happy...
edit: having said that, no doubt the retailers will be one step ahead of you and will be selling lots of body-only K5's that came from broken kits, like they did with the Kx....

An 18-135 would, assuming that it is decent optically, be a very useful lens indeed - especially WR. Where does it leave the 17-70 though? Even though a new kit lens wouldn't be as sharp as it, I'd personally take range and WR.

Camera less but lens buoyant?

I think they should ban Margaret River wines though as they are disgracefully nice.
