there's no way someone could do the detail on the selector knob.
Wanna bet?
If I didn't have too much on I'd add another row for you

There's some obvious errors in that list if you read the thread further - particularly the 18 point AF doesn't make sense (19 maybe...)
Why does 18 not make sense?

It will obviously be symmetrical about the vertical centre line but does it have to be symmetrical about the horizontal?

For example there could be an additional point just above the horizontal centre line with for example 2 above and 1 below ...

18 does not make sense due to the centre point if we were to presume a 6x3 layout (which I think many people are).

19 makes more sense as then you could have 5x3 in the centre, still giving a centre point, then extra points both left & right and top & bottom.

Either way, sounds good & roll on 2 weeks time!

On DPR this was suggested as a possibility:

........-........
....X.X.X.X.X....
.|..X.X.X.X.X..|.
....X.X.X.X.X....
........-........

So 15 cross points and four linear.

Roll on the 20th.

Are the specs enough to tempt you away from the arms of Canon Mike?
The specs are but how the AF actually performs would be the deciding factor for me.

The rest of the bits are nice but in all honesty now that I am used to the K-7 I can say it would have been the camera (for me) from the beginning had they done something with the ruddy AF to compete with Canon/Nikon.

Great High ISO performance and and 2ndly much better AF performance are the two clinchers for me. I'm more than happy with my K20D otherwise

Interesting answer.
I am so looking forward to the K-5. It can't be any worse, for me, than the K20D was. Can it?

For me, the two big problems with the K7 were poor high-ISO (whicvh seems to have been improved in the Kx) and very poor AF.

The problem with AF cannot be fixed purely by the camera though, it needs a new breed of lenses.
