Trouble is, if you put it down you'll never find it again...!!
Red with a black grip for me
Is that so you can see it easier when working?

As for camo, from what I've seen the olive green or brown bodies would be VERY suitable for that sort of shooting.

Just over a week and 5 pages of comments and not one 'if I want video I'll buy a bloody video camera' post!!

Looks good though, very interested to see the high ISO results.

PS Fiona wants a pink one!

I still cringe when I see the red one! Sorry, but really can't help it...

However, take a look at this yummy Leica in safari dress! Maybe the olive green Kx with a silver limited lens (43mm?) would do the trick? I know it's a different beast, but still... Who's doing the mock up?

6 pages now! If this response is anything to go by then the K-x will be a success.

Disappointingly little comment about possible IQ though. I agree with you about the high ISO part. If it's better than the K-7 (which is very probable) then there will be some wry comments!

Maybe they will bring out a version with the 12MP sensor for less money? I'd be more interested in that one, but I suspect they would dumb it down with no hyper program, AF adjust or prism VF.
Best regards
Richard Day

It's difficult to make any comment on the IQ until we've seen some samples from the camera.

Some may look at results from other cameras employing the same sensor, but until we see how the sensor works in conjunction with the Pentax processing engine any speculation is pretty flawed.

I take comfort in the fact that Pentax seemed to make a better job of extracting information from the Sony 10.2MP CCD sensor compared to Nikon and Sony themselves, I just hope they can repeat that feat with this one.

I'm with you on that hefty, it still isn't certain what the sensor make is, or have I missed something?

IQ is subjective, the same lens on two different bodies gives different results, likewise two lenses on the same body.

Pentax seem to be able to get the best out off their chosen units, lets wait and see.

As for the Safari Lieca, you are joking?

That's just an excuse to bump up the (all ready expensive) price further!
Cheers, HG

I'm not sure there's been any "official" confirmation but I was under the impression it's an open secret that they're using the Sony Exmor sensor as featured in the Sony Alpha 500 / Nikon D90 / Nikon D300...

That sounds feasible, the 10 meg in the k10/200/20/m is a sony unit so...

Lets wait and see, we can start a new thread when somebody gets hands on info.

HG the K20 is the 14.6Meg Pentax/Sammy sensor

So far the reports of Pentax Nazis forcing one to actually engage the video mode seem to have been exagerated, and the price and other features don't seem to have been overly impacted by its inclusion so I don't see a problem.
you don't have to be mad to post here

but it does help

The K-X is now on sale (in the US anyway). Early price is $600 so expect it to drop slowly to the £400 range?

Im sure without video it would be £9.99!

Blimy! I bought a K-m recently and I havn't really got to grips with it yet! It's a lovely little camera though and the results are superb even with the kit lenses.

Black body only. Colours available later. Good, as I want a RED Kx and if the first user feedback is +ve, then fine.
