I've only just got a K-1 so I haven't tried PS yet. I just shot off two frames hand held. Surprised how fast it is. Raw Therapee is supposed to be the best software to use. I've yet to install it.

Very good for watches. This is an old review...

Handheld pixel shift may be handy for macro but apart from that I don't see any reason (for me) to change.

Saying that if SRS offerd a decent PX value so the difference is say £500 or less I may be tempted. I'm sure we will see Chris posting fairly soon
No equipment list here but thanks for taking an interest. My Flickr

Do you think it will be that low Mike ?
Would have thought it more likely to be closer to the £900-£1000 Mark.
I know what i like, If not always why.

Considering Ricoh used to make the best 'Body Caps' the one on the K-1 is a disgrace I've replaced mine with a spare Ricoh. They are thicker than the Pentax originals and easier to grip. I hope the K-1 Mkii has a better one. It's the first thing a new customer will look at. Pentax lens caps are also poor. They need something like Sigma's.

Ricoh K Cap

Edit: Just measured the thicknesses. The new Pentax is 7mm and is also missing the white dot. The old Ricoh is 9mm. Much easier to grip.

The white cap is just a transit cap and has been for some years. The proper bayonet fit body cap is now an optional extra, and again has been for quite a few years. Fortunately I've accumulated enough of them so I don't need to buy one!
Best regards, John

It's not a white cap it's supposed to be the proper black one

It should also be waterproof on a waterproof camera.

Optech used to do waterproof 'K' lens caps.

It's caps shown in the link below. No wonder that they don't show it in many photos the design doesn't even fit the camera.

I rather liked the K-1 body cap actually.

Not that it makes much difference really as I only see the cap the day the camera arrives and the day it's sold.
