Got to be a K-3 ii replacement first!

I think I saw someone testing a disguised one. It was wrapped in greasy chip newspaper so I can't be certain

I was hoping for a K3 replacement...... guess I'll have to keep on waiting !
Maybe the K1 MKII will tempt me, upgraded AF and higher burst rate and it could be what I've been waiting for

It would be the last two steps in the right direction. The biggest attraction to the D850 isn't the higher resolution, it's AF and frame rate + buffer size.

I don't shoot machine gun often but when I do need it, I can't shoot Pentax. The AF side has long been a challenge and although improved, it still lags Canikon.

We also need a quality 16-35mm or 17-35mm fast zoom that has a filter thread.

Best regards
Inspiration is rarer than a plate glass camera.....

I would be more than happy with a set of lower priced f4 lenses for the K-1. I doubt very much it will happen but a 16-35mm, 24-70mm, 70-200mm f4 setup would suit me perfectly. Canon's versions of these lenses are sharp wide open and relatively cheap when compared to their 2.8 offerings.

That's the trouble with Pentax made a good product then forget about it

Over at PF there's a thread which started mid December about an anticipated firmware update for the K-1 .
So Pentax will be at the NEC in March, presumably they'll have something to show?

There is a medium telephoto on the lens roadmap which looks as if it might cover 70-200mm, and as there is already an f2.8 then maybe it will be an f4.
