I've always felt that a white camera would be ideal for a wedding photographer's kit.

well pentax has pulled of cameras with removable viewfinders in the past... and they were tiny compared to other makers slrs... so if anybody could pull of a d-slr with removable viewfinder and mirror box it'd be pentax and ricoh... just tell the combined engineers to cross an LX with a GRX....

Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

I wonder how much it cost. I think it is a nice camera for light weight travel.

I would mind saving up for one.

Perfect for travel I'd say Horst, with a raft of nice Ltd's!
Waiting to see some more of the detail fleshed out like metering and focus set up but it looks very well specified and you can turn the Blackpool illuminations off too!
The rear thumb-wheel lighting up is a nice touch and all, and stops Canon lawsuits to boot, quite a nice looking camera actually, wonder how much they've jived with the menu system?
Well we will find out I guess...
Cheers Jules...

Looking at the rear screen on the video around the one minute mark I see a group of what looks to be focus points, 11 of em?
Could just be metering mode I suppose but it looks like focus points to me...

The specs don't indicate that it's WR, so they must be announcing it quickly (28th) to avoid all those leaks.

Cheers.

The lights are turn off . However the camera is a decent spec , not entry level.

As for comparison to a CSC such as the XT:

WIDTH IS 120mm xt: 129mm
Height 92.5mm 89.5mm
Depth 69.5mm 46.7mm

Pentax being 118g heavier.
I am not sure if an electronic viewfinder would reduce weight and size.

Does anyone else think this a good alternative to a compact system camera
considering the advantages of the K mount?

regards

Nadeem
