lens question

Wow these look great.
Buy two now before the price goes up. If you put the second one over your viewfinder facing the wrong way round you won't see any of the chromatic aberrations.If you keep it the same way round you'll get twice as much for hardly any more money- which is brilliant!!
One day I hope to own Nikon stuff so I won't even have to be there to take an award winning photo.

Ha ha - PentaxExpert is brill. I've seen his threads before (was it on here or PF ? Can't remember) he's a master WUM.

I was pointing out that just becase something is labelled PRO it doesn't make it so.

I would also note that just because you can afford an expensive camera and equipment (which I can't either) doesn't make you a Pro or even competant. In my other field of woodcarving there is some very expensive gear, which without the skills to use it just sharp (if you know how to sharpen it) hardware.

I dearly hope that my skills (in both fields) have improved by trying to imitate those who are so obviously better than me and I hope I'm thick skinned enough to be told my work could improve- but please tell me how.

A while back there was a series on BBC4 where three photographers were given wildly different cameras (usually a digital medium format, a top-of-range compact and a mobile phone) and given a project. All the photos were shown at the end of the programme and the mobile phone guy turned in far better photos than I could take with my DSLR.

OK - this may tell you that I'm a rubbish photographer (but improving ) but it also shows that someone with a good eye can still take really good images even with a pre-smartphone mobile camera.

Yes Skyrider actually my pictures are worth seeing. I think they are. In fact I think they are 'ahead of the game' in that those who can not see beyond the end of their DA star whatever lense can not appreciate that art expression and creativitry can take on different forms not always technically perfect.

I think its obvious that PantexExport is way ahead of us all here, following the links to his images clearly shows he has knowledge far beyond my understanding of photography (far beyond anyones I think)

So heres a challenge for him, please give me some honest criticism on this arty farty shot I took of a lady who was completely naked apart from her shoes:

How do we know that isn't your foot with a borrowed shoe and trouser leg rolled up just out of the way?

Those who know me well will vouch for the fact that my high heels are size 12, those in the image are clearly size 6
