What you really need (speaking as someone who is high up in the world of photography) are the correct gloves.

I have a pair of special photographer gloves (as used by the pros) which I can sell you for £100. Send me a cheque and I'll pop them in the post.

Or I can let you have one (the left) for £75.

Tell me something, Mr Expert.

When a decent wide-angle lens costs many hundreds of pounds, why doesn't everybody just buy one of these for £11.95?

Answer: If it looks too good to be true, it invariably is. This "lens" is a load of rubbish.

Your so-called friend is having a laugh at your expense.

With the announcement that Pentax are releasing toy lenses for a US$800 camera I could believe anything. Maybe PE's friend designed them.

If they're anywhere near as good as PE's last set, I can't wait.

You wouldn't be able to use that lens any way, it's 58mm Canon fit.

The last time I had a go at showcasing some of my work I was ahnialated by the £600 da* K5 boys with their fancy kit.
This has pit me off a bit but I might have Nother go in a competition because at least i get some proper feedbak.

I bet my mate could get world class results with that 58mm lense. The clue iz in the name it is call a Pro lense. Maybe this is what is putting most of you off buying it.

It's not about what kit I've got, its about having the knowledge to use it to maximum potential.

Nah - I'm not buying one yet. I want to see how you get on with yours first

That is the answer then, ask your mate with the Nikon gear to stick this £11.95 adapter lens on the front of his camera and take a look at the results.

Then stand back and be shocked.

Sorry Pentaxexpert but the "lens" (no E) your expert friend recommends seems to fit onto another lens if the picture on e-bay is anything to by - hence the fits any lens with a 58mm filter thread.

No pro (and only the most amateur of amateurs) would touch it with a barge pole.

Cheers Frogherder. See the cr@p I have to put up with just for aski g a not unreasonable question.
Like I said fa.ncy lense + k5 +automatic mode ~ good results made easy. Nb i had to use the 'equivalent to' symbol there because i cant find the equals sign on my keyboard

Having a K5 has nothing to do with it. The K10 is a fantastic camera and quite capable of taking award winning photos even today. Maybe you should learn more about your camera and it's lens before you start shooting sour grapes at others on the forum.

We will happily help you, and advise you, but you need to be prepared to take the criticism of your photos on board and be prepared to learn from it. TechnoTerminator (for example) has done just that and has come on in leaps and bounds, as have a good many other PU members.

Having a signature like you have whilst asking the questions you do just doesn't make any sense btw.
