My husband's Sigma 28-300 has a lock on it so doesn't creep.
None of my lenses suffer from creep.

Kiron were the first with clamps (zoomlock) and they also had two stops that let you restrict the focus between say 10-30M

Depending on the size of the lens you may find that one of the various charity wristbands does the same job?
I've never had a problem with zoom creep. My old M 35-70mm and 75-150mm will move on their own given a chance, but none of my new lenses do.

You need to buy a Sigma 135-400mm Matt..... I'm sure it also
extends your arm by about an inch as well
