I'm still trying to get past the first hurdle of entering the information in the web form!
Entered the barcode number, it's clearly recognised as it comes up with a K7 + 18-55WR, as expected, fill in all the other fields and submit the form and it says I haven't entered a valid bar code!
Reminds me. I must give them a call.

Having entered your barcode, which then tells you what the product is, you have to click on the "Register" button whcih is halfway up the form.I'm still trying to get past the first hurdle of entering the information in the web form!

This then shows your product over on the right hand side.
You then have the option to enter more barcodes if you have bought more than one item.
Having entered and pressed "Register" for each item, you finally press the "Submit" button.
Hope this helps

I will give it another go tonight. Probably just me being dumb . Then again, Firefox does sometimes have a habit of hiding buttons, I find.

Talking of which, don't you find Firefox can be a right pain? As well as hidden buttons, many sites appear not to be designed for Firefox, so you get text superimposed on other text, ads on top of content, and sometimes parts of pages don't load. But as the alternative is IE I'm sticking with Firefox!

That's not true you've many more browsers like Opera, Chrome and Safari spring to mind now.But as the alternative is IE I'm sticking with Firefox!
So far as I know Opera and Safari have the best support for web standards so they would be worth a try.

I use Firefox and the button was visible although I think the form itself is confusing.I will give it another go tonight. Probably just me being dumb . Then again, Firefox does sometimes have a habit of hiding buttons, I find.

I telephoned the helpline at lunchtime and once I told them that I knew they had my application, they went away to check.
They then confirmed receipt of the form and said that they would arrange for IT to send me an e-mail and for the status of my application on the online system to be updated.
So far neither has happened

My sentiments exactly. I find one or two web sites play up with firefox but I use a mixture of windows and Linux machines and prefer to use one browser. It appears to size images differently in some circumstances. If a site can't be bothered to check compatibility with Firefox I don't bother to try and use it unless I'm desperate, on the whole! But as the alternative is IE I'm sticking with Firefox!
Well, it was a chair / keyboard interface problem in this case.
I think I will give them a call tomorrow anyway because there's no mention I can see of how I get my original of the purchase invoice back - unless I've missed something. It's my only proof of purchase at the moment.

It's not Firefox causing the problem but the designer of the web page in many cases. They are too lazy to fully test their designs, try it with IE and then release it. They do not work to standards but use fixes that only work with IE so every other browser is likely to have problems.

The Pentax cashback scheme continues to give me grief
Despite having my claim form since Monday morning, Pentax or whoever is handling this cashback has not sent an e-mail of acknowledgement or changed the message on their website, which says that they are "awaiting my application form".
I called the helpline today and had to listen to numerous "all lines are busy" messages but in German I was then cut off numerous times before finally managing to speak to someone, who promised to send a message to I.T. to sort it out
I strongly recommend anyone sending in their claim form to 'that office block in Essex' to send it by special delivery, so that you can prove that it has arrived.

I telephoned the Pentax Helpline again today.
They tell me that although they have my application, the status on the online system will not be changed until they start to process my application.
So, it says "We await receipt of your application" when it should say "We have your application but are doing nothing with it at the moment"

Well, I think part of the attraction of these cashback schemes for the issuer (in this case Pentax) is that a large percentage makes their buying decisions on basis of it but then simply forget about it or decide that it is not worth the hassle after all. That is well known to happen with gift cards, I did see the number but can't remember but we're talking mayby 10-20%.

All the previous Pentax cashback schemes were handled by Pentax in Slough.
This one appears to have been subcontracted out to an organisation in a serviced office block in Barking, so perhaps they are expecting a greater take up :
It is certainly a more flexible cashback offer.

I sent off my claim form on Saturday by Special Delivery and know that it arrived on Monday morning.
Checking this evening the cashback website states that they are awaiting the arrival of my claim form.
This cashback offer is clearly being handled by a third party on behalf of Pentax and the claim form has to be sent to what appears to be a set of serviced offices in Barking
Perhaps they only turn up one day a week to check their post :
