I have bought a couple of lenses from Chris...more recently I found it took time for him to reply to my queries, he admitted he had been overwhelmed by several orders (in reference to cash back)....I got my item when I wanted it (I didn't need it, but I WANTED IT) so no complaints.

Prices at the moment make buying from US, HK and Japan worthless.

But, I have also bought many items from Mifsuds and CameraWorld (London) and found them equally good although I would be happy to keep buying from SRS...it's a definite recommendation

I have had similar situations lately. They must be busy.

It takes quite a long time for them to answer e-mails and PMs. That is my only thing I have to add as negative.

Other than that I find the reliable in anyway.

Lately I have used warehouseexpress as well - as they are quicker to reply to my e-mails. (easier to e-mail living in EU).

Well.....they are busy. (I consider that a good thing)
I mailed and PM'ed last Wednesday. Got a reply on Thursday. Ordered on Friday and got delivered Today. This is from UK to the Netherlands. SO........absolutely no complaints from me. A BIG thumbs up for Chris and his crew. OH....btw, He made me a better deal on two lenses incl. delivery than the cheapest supplier in The Netherlands could or would do.
Just give that man a statue. He deserves it.

Martin.
Best regards,

Martin.

I've spent over £1,500 on lenses at SRS this year, safe in the knowledge that if I had a problem they would sort it out. I haven't had a problem and would thoroughly recommend. Chris is very helpful and friendly.

I've visited both SRS shops - the one in Rayners Lane is like a museum, with lots of second-hand and obsolete imaging stuff lying around (fascinating!) and top notch staff. The shop in Watford also keeps second-hand, etc. and again, helpful staff. Both sell printer supplies and all the other bits and pieces, like bags and filters.
The Watford shop keeps a very good supply of new Pentax equipment in stock, and is therefore recommended if one is not sure what one wants (re: my wide angle lens dilemma).
They just delivered my new Tamrac bag (bought by some friends for my birthday)!
While not the cheapest for everything (e.g. filters and Epson cartridges) IMHO they are worth a little extra for peace of mind.

If they read this forum in Buckingham palace, I'm sure Cris has a knighthood coming his way soon

Wonder how it will work out ordering from Norway...
Best regards
Terry

Perhaps the Government should add SRS to the 'John Lewis' list for camera equipment required in the line of duty! Then there is sure to be at least an MBE!

Perhaps we should write to the Government on how Chris is keeping the economy moving by giving us Pentaxians such a good reason to spend our cash!

And another from me, ordered a DA 16 -45 not really expecting pre Christmas delivery, but it arrived this morning. The only downside now is I can't play with it until Christmas.

I too ordered (the 50-135*) from SRS. After some problems with CC authorisation, it was put in the post on the 19th and arrived today. All credit to SRS and the postal services for getting it here so quickly.
