He doesn't need to, his customers do it for him!

Just been there again today, and for all those that can't seem to find stock, I think it's all ended up in his front window! At least 10x K20D & 10x K10D in the front window alone!

I can soon fix that by posting a picture of him - don't believe him when he says it's his ugly elder brother.

Edit... found it:

is it my imagination or is his ego swelling?

I would say the 50-135 is rubbish and you can send it to me for disposal, but I have one so I can't, is a cracker!

Oh BTw, back on topic, SRS are great to deal with, I got my 50mm from them. Great service.

if it seems pricy, what would you suggest instead?
must: be weatherproof (dust + rain)
hold k20d + 2 lenses (possibly battery grip also)
drop proof (no cracked lenses)

No, SRS cannot be trusted, they sold me an obviously used Nikon lens as new, indeed one of the mount fixing screws was missing.

So, the only Nikon guy in the whole Pentax forum, appears to have a screw loose...
So did you try to get it exchanged?

You registered just to post that?!

Stuff like that happens sometimes, but did they put it right for you?

Did you give them a chance?

We all know that SRS don't sell second hand goods pretending they are new, so let's not go down this path....

With any supplier, if something is wrong then we tell them about it and they, hopefully, put it right.
Best regards, John

a missing screw can be what s referred to as a manufacturing defect.
a simple mishap on an assembly line, that did not get caught by quality control.
I seem to recall a friend having his Toyota Corrolla recalled to install a bolt into an engine mount, happened to a small batch....
this may be something srs or nikon would happily remedy for you, under warrenty.

Well actually guys this is not as funny as it seems, after playing with my new toys yesterday evening my wife found a small black screw on the floor, It is obviously from a camera, looking at the size and shape of the head it is from a Pentax camera (or lens)
I checked my new K20D, I checked my K10D, I even checked My istD, I checked every lens I have, I even checked lenses I hadn't had out that evening in case it had come out earlier and got lodged/stuck in/on somthing else.
No way can I find out where that screw has come from, it looks new, there is no sign that it has been screwed into anything (ie no loss of paint from the threads).
I just hope its fallen out of the packaging and has been a stray from the factory
Has anyone else had extras thrown in with their Pentax kit?
I was going to ring SRS today but decided to get off out while the sun was shining, must do it tomorrow.
