In over 30 years of buying photographic gear I have never known one shop/dealer to be so respected by so many.

In over 30 years of buying photographic gear I have never known one shop/dealer to be:-
a) Knowledgable about the products they sell, and
b) Sell at fair prices, and
c) Have a no quibble guarantee/warranty, and
d) Ship items in a timely manner, and
e) Are always friendly and courteous on the phone, and
f) Waive postal charges, and
g) Have no coffee machine.
OK, the coffee machine issue is not essential to me.

We've just bought a Pentax K to 645 adaptor from them - it was delivered swiftly, no problems. I'm now looking forward to playing around with some 645 lenses on a K20D and comparing them to the 35mm focal length equivalents

The only other camera shop that I have found that came close to SRS was Euro Foto Centre (EFC) - but sadly no longer with us. They did have a coffee machine and the staff would often sit down with customer over a free coffee (they had plenty of tokens) to discuss anything - including the weather. And it was within walking distance from home.

So far my experience with SRS is amazingly good, looking at the feedback you may think if anyone would complain about SRS it must have been a client's fault

I tried to order a K20D with 2 lenses after the high praise you guys gave Chris. They were out of stock... talk about an anti-climax. I know that it is not their fault (arguable) and that he is only human but now i have to wait until next Tuesday! Still, i really hope that it is worth waiting a few days.

That may be good, wait until the next month, K20D with lens should have a cashback offer.

I take it that that's because of the K-M?? By cashback, do you mean that it will be cheaper or that you can pay to gat cash? The second is pointless (hole in the wall just as good) but the former would be nice.

Cashback means that you buy the product and then apply to Pentax, who will send you a cheque. This is often done via tryirning the guarantee card or by registering the product online.
Best regards, John

At least they told you straight! How many times have we waited for something longer than expected because someone was being economical with the truth? (Still waiting for my new crash helmet, 3 day delivery has now taken 18...) Well done Chris/SRS for being straight-up about it.I tried to order a K20D with 2 lenses after the high praise you guys gave Chris. They were out of stock... talk about an anti-climax. but for a pentax dealer to be out of stock of the leading and latest model? how big is the company. i have only heard of 'chris'. is it a one man band?
(i am not purposefully criticising srs just being inquisitive, no intention to be hostile, just everyone seems to love them abnormally (more than any company i have ever seen))
