I'm sorry to learn that the phone number and email address you have are incorrect and it appears you may have an old envelope and I do apologise for this. I can confirm you will need to send your films to the below address:

Cewe photos
Unit 4
Spartan Close
Titan Buisness Centre
Warwick
CV34 6RR

Cewe contact number is 01926 463605.

Has anyone used this address recently and confirm it was okay?
Also if so what was the turn around time for receiving your film back?

Thanks
S Raff

All the Boots slide film I've sent off had a PO Box address in Warwick on the prepaid envelope, turnaround seems to be anywhere between ten days and a fortnight (presumably as there's only one lab left processing the stuff).

That was to the PO Box 3102, Warwick, CV34 6ZH address yes? and recently?

So I wonder what the Crewe Photos address is about then and whether it gets rerouted to there?

How is the film returned? mounted/sleeves/rolled?

Thank you

Yep, that's the one. I would imagine that the other address is that of the lab who pick up the contents of the PO Box, I just send it to the address on the envelope which works perfectly. Do remember to take it to the Post Office as they won't accept it with a 1st class stamp on now - it needs to go as a small packet.

I should be receiving another batch of slides in the near future, but I've sent five or so off to them in the past year and had no trouble. Need to speed up my usage of slide film a tad as I have two and a half rolls with a use by date of next month, from previous experience they'll be fine so long as I use them this summer. I imagine I'll get through the half roll in the next week or so, then another one or two over Easter weekend.

The slides are returned mounted, in a cellophane wallet-type thing rather like the negative pages you can buy to put in a ring binder. This is posted in a sturdy white card envelope which will fit through a standard letterbox, I've never had any trouble with damaged slides and the mounts are perfectly compatible with my projector and scanner.

The slides turned up this morning, here's one of the better ones:

Bollards at Llyn Clywedog, near Llanidloes in Powys. I was intrigued by the way they're chained together like little wooden climbers marching off along the wall. The chain is useless as a means of controlling movement, all it would do is trip anyone up who failed to notice it!

Does anyone have recent experience of Boots slide film - are you getting your slides back, as I have another film to send off.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

I sent a roll off earlier in the summer and got it back with no problems. I'm hoping nothing has changed because I sent another two rolls off last week!

I am sure nothing has changed.

It was just that I tried the info@bootsprocessing... e-mail address which came back undeliverable and the customer service number which rang and rang. It was probably so, the last time I sent a film away!

The biggest shock was that the postage for small packages was 2.70 (2.20 second class), where I am sure it was half that last time. I posted yesterday so lets see how long it takes.

I think Boots Processing is great. The email address is now boots-digital@cewecolor.co.uk and the phone number 0192 64 63 605. Sadly Boots no longer sell them, so I bought about 100 earlier this year on the 3 for the price of 2 deal. I think it is rebranded Fujichrome 200. Anyway it produces fine slides. You can save money by posting 2 or more films at the same time. PS I gather that Lomography now sell 110 print film, so I can use my Super 110 again !

Thank you for that information, John.

I shall look forward to the return of my slides (hopefully) next week.

My latest slides returned yesterday, so they are definitely still processing film! I'll miss Boots slide - it was cheap and good.

As this thread is the first one that came up on the Google search and I've just dropped my film off, I thought I'd sign up to update this thread.

I had 5 rolls of Boots process-paid film to develop and was going to post them, but coincidentally had co come to Warwick. Cewe accepted my films at the door and say they are still receiving thousands of rolls of E6 and C41 from (mostly) Boots and the work is stable (no sign at the moment of it going away.

They also handle any Jessops prepaid mailers, I understand.

They say they'll get my processed film posted back in 5-7 days.
