TT the standard Brains is ok - The SA for me is a bit sweet but the SA Gold is very 'hoppy' and is one of my favourites
The Brains Rev. James is ok for a 'Dark Ale'
Does anyone dare sell Welsh Ale in Scotland just before the Six Nations :
And are you allowed to admit to liking English ale at this time of year :

Great answer
Good luck Scotland for the Six Nations
It's bizarre for me I could have represented England (birth (less than 2 years residency)), Scotland (grandparents)or Wales (residency and grandparents) except for the small matter of being crap I may have stood a chance
I have a bizarre liking for Scot's - having said that my Nan was a big favourite of mine - great in every way

Thanks for the warm welcome back folks, and also the telephone call earlier from a certain member who got the wrong end of the stick and thought my health had deteriorated (you know who you are:wink
As for BEER?
Just had two or three pints of Greene King IPA over in Bradford whilst meeting up with some friends, unfortunately the weather stopped it from been five or six and we made a hasty retreat back to Leeds, having to negotiate the A58 as the slip road up to the M62 was blocked by a snow plough trying to clear it Fortunately my wife is quite capable of driving in snow and had to overtake several less capable drivers.

Well I have one more Play performance to do now (I am doing sound) and I am looking forward to it. Due to the nature of the play, there are a lot of sound effects, and a video. But because of my nephew - who is 16 - is a genius with the software I bought him for christmas, we are getting rather good at this lark!
Still it is good to sit down and have a BEER. This time the cheap pilsner from Asda, which is actually really rather good.

Had a totally pointless day stuck at home because of the Amber Weather Warning waiting for it to snow, still waiting

We had it here last night. Getting home was very touch and go, even the one bus we saw barely made it. It might not have been too bad for the four wheel drive vehicles, but for our poor little Astra it was as bad as it could travel in.
I kept thinking, as we got closer to home, "We could walk from here..."

Aye - but if you'd have abandoned the poor little thing and walked home , when you got back to collect the Astra it may well not have been in the condition in which you had left it

A bit of snow here this morning, but the thaw is set to start tonight. The roads tomorrow could be tricky, but hopefully we will be basking in positive temperatures (+ 11:shock on Tuesday.
It hasn't got above freezing here since January 12, and even then the maximum was only 0.6C.
Elbow making slow progress. Still unable to drive . Hopefully I will be able to hold the K-5II when it arrives .
