The dog is a he not an it, so nothing. In fact he is lying in his bed licking the bits that prove he is a he right now.

Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go

Less than a foot of snow has practically shut down the city of Bradford today... The University is shut and as I'm on a zerohour contract I've lost a days pay...
If people could actually drive their great big 4x4's there'd be much less of an issue!!!
Grrr!!!

That is a bummer for you Dave.
I am still under house arrest, no way I am venturing out into the snow and ice with only one wing.
His Nibs dug my car out this morning and took the dog for a walk in the woods, then came back and dug his own car out and went to work. He had no problems on the way, the main roads and motorways are clear, and even our little side street gets gritted nowadays as the kids use it to cycle to school. Whilst it is not perfectly clear it is better than it would have been in the days when we weren't on the gritter route.
Since it is also a hill it used to get quite exciting driving down it after snow, and even more exciting on a bike.

Lots of snow in Edinburgh, but none of it is hitting the ground! Seems to just be going around in circles achieving nothing of consequence.
What does that remind me of?

As Dave said, less than a foot here and useless 4X4 drivers!!
On the plus side, the roads were quiet this evening meaning a faster than normal drive home!

If Edinburgh is OK and Glasgow certainly is - I wonder what it's like at Harthill ???
For them as doesn't know, going from Glasgow to Edinburgh via the M8 you get weather changes along the route - just as you approach Harthill - it's quite interesting . I've never yet had to do it in proper snow .

Try it on a motorcycle, I remember leaving Glasgow and arriving in Edinburgh in sunshine. At Harthill I was riding with one hand on the bars and the other thawing out on the cylinder head
