Another pointless thread

I think the biggest question is where the BBC get their weather forecasts from?
It seems odd that we have the Met Office who are generally pretty good and the BBC who (and I admit I'm guessing this bit) rely on the entrails of goats, tea leaves and whether a cow was seen sitting down!
Could the BBC not just ask the Met Office?

The basic Weather app on my iPhone is remarkably accurate and updates every hour. I am told by it that at this moment it is cloudy in Sydney and a nice warm 28C. New York is sunny and a rather chilly -4C.
Here it's cloudy and -1C and if I look out of the window, it indeed is.
The wonders of technology.....

the bbc do use the met office and I'm almost certain that the network weather presenters are employed by the met office, it certainly used to be the case. Local one in our case is a failed opera singer.

I realise that, but I think they must get ostracised and deliberately given the wrong information.
It's amazing how often the BBC seem to get it wrong when the Met Office website is almost always right!

With the politicians we've got here it would need a jackpot win to pay for all the tellys.

We found a piece of stilton at the back of the fridge (left over from Christmas). How it got missed I hesitate to guess as it had certainly reached maturity.it's a sign of maturity I have decided.
Maybe it's just a bit 'fogey'

It should be fine to eat. Great thing about stilton, it takes a long time to go off.
Of course it is also an excuse to open a bottle of port!

No - I think this portion had definitely died, even after removing its fur coat it was a decidedly funny colour and made its presence known from several feet away.
But the bottle of port sounds a great idea - after all you need to properly mourn the passing with a wake

Ey Up!
Thought I may as well log in and say Happy New Year, as my last login was Dec 29th
Had a few drastic lifestyle changes recently, had to jack in the camera club and definitely not going to be going out with a camera any time soon as I'm concentrating on my website/business.
I might still pop in here from time to time to see how pointless things have been

I wondered where you'd got to. Sounds like a dramatic start to the year.
Hopefully you will be able to participate in this mayhem on occasion.

And a happy Burns night to all of Scotland`s residents and those that climbed the wall. As a Yorkshireman I will have an honorary celebration too... just adding to the numbers.
Enjoy life
