Not here it isn't. Still -5 outside all day. Thaw due on Sunday apparently. There is talk of winter returning in February. As long as we can get away on the 15th I don't really care.

The white stuff is definitely turning a grotty shade of brown except on my garden where it is just simply vanishing leaving behind snowdrop and daffs (I could have sworn they weren't there this time last week)

I bet the country hasn't ground to a halt though
I wonder how Don is doing in Winterpeg.
I hope eventually to visit Canada, but I'll be sure it's not a winter trip .
Edit: If I see one more thing about the winter in the UK, that is not a weather forecast, on the BBC I think I shall throw something at the telly.

I considered that, but can't afford a new TV so....

Don't worry, once it stops affecting London and the South-East they will quickly move on to something else.
Like the way they kept talking about last Summer's wonderful sunshine. I think that passed us by!

Haven't got BBC1. Should I throw the telly?

If it is at a politician of any kind we may be able to start a whip around to help replace the telly

Good answer Stuey .
Seriously you are not missing much not having BBC1 at the moment. You'd think the country had never had snow before, and was suffering temps similar to those Mike is enjoying in Canada. Special programmes about the weather, other programmes almost entirely devoted to it.
Maybe I'm just going stir crazy due to my one wingedness at the moment. I haven't ventured out since Friday. Can't drive and given my ability to fall over a snowflake I'm not sure I want to risk icy pavements at the moment.

I don't miss much on the TV at all. Which is why I spend so much time on here.

I hardly watch tv anymore and have taken to blaming the BBC for everything, it's a sign of maturity I have decided.
