Edinburgh is clear, sunny and not especially cold. I'm doing the same thing as thousands of other men across the country - waiting outside Primark for my other half to finish shopping.

Primark = BIG shop that swallows wifes for hours at a time..

...you could get a beer or three in waiting for the fairer sex to come out...

....but boy would you know if they found out!!

You want to shop!!

You can if you must..

...personally I head for the (remaining) camera shop.

Still waiting for a package ordered on 31/12/12 from Hong Kong (ebay!)

Is it reasonable to hassle the seller now?
Cheers, HG

"Hardgravity"]You want to shop!!

No I'm with you on that, me and my girl friend both hate shopping we just pick up what we need then leg it and get on life.
Yes I think it reasonable to post a well phrased and pithy missive to enquire about your goods ...jeff...

My camera strap took forever to get here from the US. I was about to contact them, and was looking into claiming it on the credit card when it turned up.

Customs had been hanging onto it for ever I think. It is a real pain ordering stuff from non-EU countries here.

No doubt the weather will get the blame there .

I've been waiting for a letter to be sent from Liverpool since 8th Jan.

They keep telling me that it has been sent; will be going out Thursday; They'll look into it and get back to me (no joy so far); Fred, who'se dealing with it, is on holiday/not in until tomorrow/cat's got measles.

Is it reasonable to hassle them now?

In 18 days I could have walked to Liverpool, so from Hong Kong it might be a trifle slower - but I'd certainly ask the question

It snowed well on Friday night, yesterday was a right off!

This morning we awoke to..

...rain and sunny spells and all the snow gone!

From 10 inch to nothing overnight!! There's going to be flooding some where with these conditions.

I stopped ironing my shirts a couple of years ago, since I discovered the joys of pure cotton non-iron.

These actually look better by the time I get to work than other shirts and hold their creases all day. I think it's something to do with body heat?

I'm not going to advertise, but if you search for something like 'CT non-iron shirt' you should find them. And I have tried other companies in the past and they have never been as good as these.

I'm not buying him new shirts for a couple more months of working life! He can master the art of ironing or go unironed. I can't do it at the moment anyway.
I am sure he was taught once how to do it, but has forgotten. Not sure ironing was a badge towards Queen's Scout though .

Jeff you are making me very envious.
