Thanks for the good wishes everyone. Paracetamol is doing it stuff thank goodness. His Nibs is doing the cooking, so some good has come of it .
We've had no more snow here sine Tuesday, but it has been negative temps all the time. Snow threatened for tomorrow and Monday though.
Hoping to fly south in less than 4 weeks

I always have been. Give me something to fall over and I will. The doc said yesterday I have strong bones, to which His Nibs replied but she doesn't have to keep testing them does she? Am I mistaken, or do you seem a bit accident prone just lately, Gwyn.

OK, so where's all the snow gone?
We were told we would have 2cm here, we got 5cm and no disruption. In fact, the roads are fine and most footpaths clear.
The BBC put out a program showing 'how bad' it was across the country when only south Wales was hit...
...so where's the rest of it gone?

Snowing here. -5 and windchill -14. I'm glad I'm stuck indoors.
His Nibs has gone with the dog before it gets any worse.
The Beeb went totally OTT Friday, first the news with almost the entire programme taken up with snow, ditto local news, the One Show and then a special about it. Really was that necessary? Also why do they insist on sending reporters out onto snowy roads to risk their lives, and those of others, to tell us it has snowed a bit??
Bah humbug.
A shame it is snowing again - not good for ice and skating.

My daughter lives in Epsom and her college closed because of the extreme weather, she sent me a photo - roads clear and pavements with a whole 1cm of snow.

We can't even manage 1cm of snow here. All roads clear, temperature 1.5C.
Best regards, John

We have only what I can describe as a fine frozen rain falling here in East Suffolk. Trouble is it`s falling on a frozen icy surface. Never mind though been playing around with the Yamaha sound projector. It`s only taken 5 years to set it correctly.

The Dutch call that ijzel Cedric, really nasty, dangerous stuff. The south of the country has had it today, and it seems to be spreading north. It leaves everything covered in a layer of ice. Still snowing here though.

You appear to be sending it back to us.
15 all
We've had about 2 inches total, but enough to cause buses to stop running and schools to close so the kids can go sledging
The other night (after the first flurries) glimpsed out of the window before getting into bed.
There were two girls arm in arm wandering up the road. One was meandering leaving a sinusoidal path, the other was doing bunny hops leaving two footed indentations every foot or so. Then outside our house they stopped to play snowballs and build a mini-snowman before travelling on along the road as before obviously enjoying every minute.
Nothing particulary out of the ordinary, except the two girls were in their late seveties.
Which goes to prove - you're never to old to enjoy yourself
Go for it ladies - and many more winters to you
regards
Bernard

Mrs Cedric fetched a spade and stiff broom from the garden shed earlier. I think it`s in preparation for Monday morning.
