I've eaten horse. And zebra, ostrich, buffalo, giraffe, llama and more.
I really don't see the problem.

40 or more years ago I was in the south of France with a group of friends we had driven up from Spain and we were as starving as teenagers get .
Anyway we dived in to a small family run resturant and ordered 'Steaks'
And boy they were the best steaks we had ever eaten, cooked to perfection with butter and garlic ... later that night after a few bottles of the house red my schoolboy French did a bit of translation,,, and yes it was horse ... ah youth....jeff.... PS thinking about it I'd rather eat a horse steak than a supermarket 'beef' burger...

And if you really can't find any proper food you could always eat vegetables!

I for one would rather be at the top of the food chain and have a choice than wondering what was going to eat me

If god hadn't intended us to eat horses then he wouldn't have made them from meat

I miss 2 days and then have to spend 25 minutes catching up!
As for horse meat..
...I look on eating it as payback for the times they've thrown me when out riding!

My daughter in law is an equine vet. She owns horses, and my son also rides, and has done since he was 7. They have no qualms about eating horse meat.
I try to avoid it, but if I'm served it I don't have a problem with that.
It is quite often mixed with other meat here.
I actually found the fact that the beefburgers contained pork more disturbing as there are plenty of people who for religious and ethical reasons do not eat pig meat.

It's a shame all the 'contaminated' burgers were taken off the shelves, presumably to landfill. I'm sure there are a lot of hungry people who would have appreciate them, horse or not.
Absolutely agree.

Don't know what all the fuss is about with certain "beefburgers" After all how many times have you said, "I'm starving, I could eat a horse". Well, now you can.
At some point I may have inadvertently broadened my diet
