Thank you all for the warm wishes. Had a nice day at the Metro Center, only a Pentax 90 for sale in CEX (apart from loads of games phones ipads ipods iphones and a couple of nikon canon cameras and lenses) . Had a lamb burger in redcurrant and ginger sauce and a very welcome cup of tea in Hand Made Burger Co. Will spend the rest of this evening in front of the telly. No chocs, cakes, etc due to high blood sugar levels and forthcoming visit to diabetic clinic

[quote:3496ace15f="jeffstclair" Gwyn... Pointless ..? please enlighten...[/quote]Pointless is a quiz show on BBC1. Presented by Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman.
The aim of the game is to come up with some little known fact on a theme (such as hits of certain 1960s groups amongst others today) which 100 other people, given 100 seconds, couldn't think of. A pointless score adds 250 quid to the prize pot. Every episode also adds 1000 to it. Currently at a record level of over 16,000 pounds!!
The two presenters are friends from Uni and have a really good rapport and a great sense of humour.
Definitely one of the better offerings on the Beeb nowadays.
I am a sad person. I admit it. But the timing for me of the programme is perfect - 18.15 to 19.00.

Thanks again for all the Birthday Greetings.
jeffstclair. I'd have loved a glass of the Malt but am saving myself until after pending diabetic clinic visit, sticking to a more or less strict diet.
Gwyn. I agree about Pointless, I think Alexander Armstrong can say volumes with his facial expressions without saying a word but I sometimes wonder who are the 100 people they ask the questions first :
