No, no bitter here, except at Lidl .
His Nibs has learned to drink Dutch beer, provided it's not Heineken or Amstel.

That's so you can't taste it. Just like American beers..the stuff they make here in Greece is ok it must be drunk ice cold though.
His nibs would rather not have a beer than drink Heineken or Amstel. That's how bad he thinks they are.

Kettle's just started to boil so here goes for a second coffee..

Well done HG, much the same here I've cleared out the stove but not rekindled it , it's not cold in the day time yet .
The movie was a success ,we are having a Michael Caine season, so far we have had The Ipcress File,
both versions of Sleuth, and last night... Funeral in Berlin.
oh and the small jug of this years new wine was a hit ...jeff...

I'm impressed HG. After a bad night I finally fell asleep somewhere around the shipping forecast, and woke again when the dog started complaining at 9.20.
His nibs, who had slept through the night was still sound asleep next to me . Poor dog had had enough of keeping his legs crossed and decided to complain.
St Maarten here today, so we will get kids coming round after dark, carrying home-made lanterns and singing special songs and hoping for sweets. A bit like trick or treating, without the trick.
Because the Netherlands was neutral in WW1 it is not Remembrance Day here.

Sounds more civilized than trick or treat (an american thing and one of their worst!!) Gwyn. I'm currently awaiting the door curtain.
IKEA, pah!
Re-using 3 IKEA curtain rails, allbought at the same time, all from the same range, none are the same internal diameter!!
8mm rod, 2 conectors and some superglue laterand a 10 minute job is finally done. After 2 hours!
Now, where's that beer, I need it.
