Tesco's are doing four 500ml bottles of almost any Bitter
for £5 which is £1 lower than they usually do.

I can't understand why Sainsbury's don't just match Tesco's
beer prices on the shelf. If it's a current offer they do
give a refund voucher, so they have to match anyway,
but because a lot of people don't know what Tesco's have
on offer they go to Tesco's instead I think
Sainsbury's shelf price is £5 for three.

I haven't bothered shopping at Sainsbury's for months,
even though I think it's a better shop.
Very poor management IMHO

My wife phoned to say she has just been stopped on the M8 by the cops. Apparently she was only doing 60 whilst getting in lane to take an exit. Curiously only one cop in the car. In Scotland there are always two since they need a witness for everything they do.
That is an odd one - where was the second cop ?

I have a couple of web mail addresses and am slowly changing things over to them, but it is a nightmare, trying to remember all the places which use my current e-mail address. I'll get another new email address of course from the new provider, but want to make a start on moving things now. At least then if I have a few days without internet at home I can use my dongle to keep an eye on my mail and stuff.
Best advice is to stick to Gmail, Outlook (Hotmail) or Yahoo! etc. That way you won't need to change your email address the next time you switch.

The ISPs love you to use their email as they get you hooked in!

Luckily we have our own website, independent of the ISP, and we have a few addresses with that, previously used for admin on a forum. The forum is now dead and his nibs has reassigned the e-mail addresses so I shall probably be switching to that for personal stuff.

Gmail is used for forums, web shopping and the like, since they are most likely to generate spam. Though a 17 year old e-mail address attracts more than it's fair share .

I get my beer in bulk from Booths.

They do good offers on unusual beers, that's how I discovered the delights of Adnams, Jennings and the like.

Buying them in boxes of 8/12 for £1/£1.5 a bottle.

Mmmm, Cocker Hoop.....

Well I've survived my first week of motorcycle commuting. I even did my first biker bit of driving when I went past a bus and there was no room to get a car through.

I thought I was going to get through today without stalling but still managed it once. Really haven't mastered slow riding yet.

I'm in moan mode

Firstly, sorry to cross threads but RIP Tony, a sad time.

Secondly, I have man flu - I feel bad but not bad enough to stop me doing anything non energetic but it has spread around work ridiculously quickly over the last few days and my better half has persuaded me to stay in and not increase the infection rate by mixing with others - she has a point and I will listen (obey) - so if I photograph what I am doing this weekend it will housework pictures galore

Last whinge, for me it's time to be under the affluence of incohol but it just won't go down - but I will persevere
K10D, K5 plus plenty of clueless enthusiasm.

You'll get there, I have. After 36 years riding I still stall bikes from time to time...

....it's not as embarrassing as stalling a Transit van in rush hour traffic though...

I love doing that! I often sit at lights in the Audi watching the car rise and fall. Just wish it had hyper-mode so it would get to about 6 feet above the road.

Birthday celebrations began yesterday with a surprise party sprung on me by Mrs Cedric. MAK was in on the act up to her elbows too

Received some nice sounding A`BUNADH with an interesting cask strength and also a drop of Glen Moray.
Enjoy life
