Where did you find 10L boxes - we always had 11 L ones - straight from the Cave Cooperative where it was made ?They do TEN LITRE BOXES of wine in France, one'll keep us going for a day or two...
We used to bring back at least 3 Red and 3 White on every trip , along with the case of very high quality bottles of our favourite variety , and were usually given a bottle or two [ sometimes more ] as a 'pour boire'
Our caravan was always level even with that lot in it - and we didn't travel exactly light either.

In France a 10 litre box of wine is for wimps. A 10 litre box of 'poire maison' is for real photographers.

Tu as raison, dr!

We usually get 5L ones from Super U, but opted to try a 10L one as well this year, it's rose so getting it in the fridge may be a problem...
...although a certain Swedish friend sudgested removing the box...
Why does 1.99euro Cote du Rhone from Lidl in Provence taste better than the £5.99 stuff at home?
Is it just proof that the French really do send us all the cr*p stuff?

HG - we wondered about this for a long time - and just decided to try and get all our wine whilst in France.
Our poshest wine cost €5/bottle - but believe me that was one seriously good Bordeaux Superieur .
We found the wine in our cubitainers travelled well - we brought back Red Bordeaux at 14degrees and Entre Deux Mers without any problem. We tried Monbazillac one year from a grower in that area - but it didn't travel well - never repeated .

A trick learnt many years ago..
...only bring back wine from abroad.
Beer gets drunk to quickly where as an equivalent volume of wine lasts a heck of a lot longer.
Unless there's a certain Mrs HG and it's rose in a fridge...

Wow, what a bust of activity!
It all went quiet until a certain somebody brought up the subject of drink! Strange that!

Picked up my motorcycle today. Still alive which is good. Really weird how vulnerable I feel in traffic despite driving for years!

Massive disaster on the catering front! Went to pull an ale out of the cupboard only to find an empty space. Nothing, zilch not even one rolled to the back and here am I pulling out of a bout of "Man flu."
I didn`t get where I am today by running out of ale.

A shock like that could cause a massive relapse

I've bought a nearly new one, identical to the old one, minus red wine on the hard drive, for a very good price.
Just cleaning it of spurious programs and getting used to Dutch Windows .
