I had a look at their bags today. Really really great padding, support and still airflow. Inside same same as all the other top brands, but the pricing was too rich for me, £250 for the Skyborne 49, it's US$249 in the USA !

Well you are a Pentax Pro Master It's number of posts, nothing to do with skill, unless posting words or pictures to a thread is classed as a skill I'm sure it used to have the full rank showing when I first joined.

Yeah I know that Stan , but if you look at silnabs last post in the classified forum to the left of the post it says
Silnabs " Site veteran " where as every other member apart from the" team members " has "member ".
I think it is some strange glitch in the site.... jeff.....

Hover over the medal icon and your forum rank will be revealed.
Jeff is Pentax Pro Master, Stan is the same ranking.
It is just a bit of fun and it's not really highlighted any more, but no-one gets demoted!

Shame you didn't have a glass of white wine to pur over it immediately afterwards, then it would have been fine.cedricd wrote:

I think insurance companies are tightening up. We have an ongoing claim for storm damage to the studio roof in January. They said the damage was only caused because the roof was old and in poor repair. I provided receipts for maintenance and repairs going back three years showing diligence on my part but they now say that just proves the roof was in a poor state. Catch 22.

Has anyone ever had a trouble free, straight forward experience when dealing with an insurance company. I have once, camera accidental damage, sorted out with a telephone call I think insurance companies are tightening up. We have an ongoing claim for storm damage to the studio roof in January. I have heard some horror stories after the recent flooding.

I was thinking of mentioning that camera but decided not to, in case it caused more arguments! I will be getting one or two, but will wait for the price to settle. Right now it's a little too close in price to it's big brother!

As far as insurance companies tightening up, I'm not sure. Had my first ever 'at fault' accident this year. Car in front turning left stalled but was out of my eyeline so I hadn't realised resulting in a tiny amount of paint damage to a bumper. Any garage could have touched it up for £100 (and the car was far from pristine to begin with).
When I phoned to get the amount for my insurance renewal I was utterly staggered to discover the payout had been £1,301! I can't possibly say that this was criminal fraud, but it was utterly ridiculous.

Sounds like the time a 'gentleman' threw open his Mercedes driver's door just as I was driving past - made a mess of my Freelander's front wing but his door wouldn't close at all. He was livid and said I had driven into him.
Had phone with me - so took some piccies of the wing and the undamaged front corner of Freda OH and of course his car as well .
Got home and did better piccies with the K-x - sent them to daughter #1, who among other things is a TfL trained accident investigator and just asked for her comments . Her comment was that clearly he was at fault - front corner undamaged so he must have opened door as I was going past. [ hadn't told her anything - just sent piccies ]
Insurance agreed with me Still took 6 months with him screaming that I was at fault , before his company paid up for the repair of Freda

A chum of mine took the door clean off a car with his motorcycle when it was thrown open in his path. The elderly screaming owner insisted on calling the police who charged her with five constuction and use offences (not sure if one of them was 'driving without a door' and she lost her license when all the penalty points were totted up. It almost happened to me once in slow moving traffic on the M8 when a child threw a door open, I swear I stopped an inch from it.

I'm still waiting for the insurance settlement for my broken leg to be settled. The accident was over five years ago now...

Can't afford a new one, and the insurance says I was careless.
Maybe they should read their own small print.
Not deliberate = accident (aka careless) = they pay out.
