Tried it, then swiftly reverted back to 7.

Once the hardware comes available - true tablet hardware for Win 8 I can see it working well though. Using it on a laptop just doesn't really work for me.
Got to admit it took a while to get used to it. Works really well with touch screen.

Got the full-blown release now. Getting used to it to the point that I no longer switch back to Windows 7.

If you'd been hanging around the Peninsula Hotel in Gibsons Landing, British Columbia, in the 1970s, they would have given you a keychain bottle opener, with the name of the hostelry engraved on it, for nothing. Still works a treat.

Rant time..

...For the last three weeks I've been the only person interested in a post at work.

This afternoon, 2 hours before the close for applications, some one else has applied!

Bugger!

Now I'll have to go through the whole interview/presentation thing councils are so fond of

On the plus side I now have 3 days off to chill and prepare...
Cheers, HG

I have a Dalek bottle opener, every time I open a bottle it says EXTERMINATE!

But the problem with bottles is I have to take them to the bottle bank, cans I can just lob in the green bin

Ours goes every two weeks at the same time as the paper and tins. The thing I don't understand is, when we had weekly collections the tins/cans went in with the glass. Now we have gone to fortnightly they go in with the paper. What difference does the collection interval make?
