Hey is it over! Can we talk about something else now!

Although I do have one question: If the Olympic spirit is about "taking part" why was how many gold medals the UK team won the only thing that they ever mentioned on the news?

The worst whisky I ever tasted was a Japanese brand "Suntory" a single measure required a full can of coke to kill the taste

I had the same experience with Polish Spirit many years ago. I put it into a pint of Coke and couldn't taste the Coke!

In my opinion when it comes to cameras I don`t have a problem with choice. Now though I am up for a new phone and the choice is more than bewildering! Present one is the original Galaxy S 19000. So today we learn that Flash Player is being dropped from Android. Are the cocoa tins on a length of string still available?

I missed that one If you are carrying a knife of any description isn't there a risk you will be arrested, have the weapon confiscated etc

Aaaah, the trusty Swiss Army knife, what every self respecting bloke should have!
My old one sits in it's leather pouch in the camera bag most of the time. A good screwdriver for QR plate attachment / removal, knife/saw blades and scissors for knocking up a shelter from small trees, can/bottle opener for those impromptu cold beans and bottle of beer moments, tweezers for thorn removal......and of course the thingy for getting stones out of horses hooves..... we all need that sometime in life!

Mine does have a locking blade, which I understand is now verboten and a capital offence, but it pre-dates silly legislation so the gov can bog off!

They have kept a copy of every knife ever made including the ones that never went into production

Such as one with a tape measure..... too small to read no's

One with a comb...... danger of getting bit's of cheese, chicken
etc. in hair

This guy's got a collection:

This is the ultimate:

Although (in Scotland at least) the law is pretty strict small penknives are usually fine providing you're not out on the town on a Saturday night.

I have a very illegal locknife with a six inch blade which I only ever use when I'm hunting or on my pal's boat. Even if the police ever did see it the worst they would probably do is to confiscate it and more likely they would ignore it.

Of course if I was a twenty year old it might be different!

So I installed Windows 8 today. That's how exciting my life is. Photoshop 6 works well.

Tried it, then swiftly reverted back to 7.

Once the hardware comes available - true tablet hardware for Win 8 I can see it working well though. Using it on a laptop just doesn't really work for me.

I never leave the house without me Swiss Army Chainsaw I lose it so many times at work that the other guys in our warehouse know that look on me face. "Cedric`s put his knife down somewhere." It`s fine until I use it `cos its clipped on the high vis with a karabiner. Now, if only Victorinox made phones.

4G connectivity, 8mp Pentax/Ricoh camera, scissors, file, two blades, Android platform with Flash Player. bottle opener and corkscrew...... Oh No! I were dreamin again.
Enjoy life
