They shouldn't let that 80 year old guy on the moped/durny
enter any Olympic cycle races..... he can't stick
the pace and always drops out halfway though

That's coz the battery goes flat!

Good to see that all attempts to stop the GB cyclist winning everything failed.

The rest of the world can't take being beaten by the Brits, we might as well enjoy the glory while it lasts.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. When does this all end?

Still, the Festival has started. Which means it is impossible to drive or even walk through Edinburgh!

Just goes to show that if you throw enough money at a sport you can be successful. Applies in Football too, all too often.

Not every country has the funding to throw at a particular sport like the UK does. They only throw it at a few sports at that.
Things like shooting, archery, handball and other minority sports struggle. Hopefully the gold in shooting will mean some money gets diverted their way for instance.

Where are all the Asian athletes for Britain?? Or black athletes off the track for that matter?

No idea. I have my foodie son and daughter-in-law eating here again tonight. They were here on Tuesday and we had hot and sour soup followed by Thai beef salad. Totally lacking inspiration today, and since their one night holiday was a total disaster we'll probably take them out for a meal instead.

Meanwhile my three year old grandson has pneumonia.
