Another pointless thread

Shame the GB(Yorkshire?) team took most of the medals, the Dutch won't speak to us for ages...

The Dutch won the women's road race. They don't do much in the velodrome, not that important here, and certainly doesn't have the money thrown at it that it does in GB.

Just beaten in the show jumping team. We'll see what happens in the individual, and dressage.
Also due gold tomorrow in the windsurfing .

But I'm cheering team GB.

We need a new car. My Kangoo is on it's last legs and his nibs loses his company car next year.

Trouble is do we go for a smallish estate (if anyone still makes such a beast) so the dog will fit comfortably for the next couple of years, or something else and the dog has to adapt. The dog is 9 and a big breed so we don't expect that many more years out of him (though the oldest one we know of died aged 17:shock.

We don't have vast amounts to spend on a car so it has to be cheap too. We have of course been spoiled by the company car which has always been an all singing all dancing model.

I hate looking for new (or secondhand) cars .

Hmm - get the feeling that an acquaintance has been hacked - got an e-mail telling me that she had commented on my Photos - and it was a 'clickable' link.

Why am I suspicious - I don't have any pics anywhere that she could comment on

TT You should be OK as long as you've not clicked the link - the 'package' would have been delivered on doing so.

Well - it came from a PC and I'm a Mac - so that helps

Scan is still running - about 75% done and clean so far

I just have this very suspicious nature - a subject of 'Really ? ' and a content in Blue and at least 24 pt in bold and underlined saying " A........., commented on your Photo . Read Here "

I didn't think there was a zip up the back of my head

It's probably someone from Nigeria who wants
to deposit some money in your bank account

Now that would really be most acceptable - but I have rather a lot of doubts

Scan finished showing me clean - e-mail is now deleted

About 5 mins after I'd finished the scan I got a phone call from some nice computer maintenance people - his name was John

He was wanting to help me with my Windows computer - as it seemed to have a problem - I let him talk then told him I'd just done a complete scan and was 'clean' so again the poor bloke mentioned Windows - I let him finish and said I didn't have a 'Windows' machine [ well I was having my mid morning coffee ] so he asked what I did use - and being very naughty I asked why he wanted to know - so I was told again that he wanted to help me with my Windows computer. So yet again I said I didn't use a Windows computer - and I'll swear I heard the cogwheels turning , I said nothing and eventually he decided to wish me a nice day and he rang off

Me - 1 idiots - Nil

Sounds like he wanted to help you with the "Upgradings"

Next time tell him your running windows 3.1

Incidentally I would still be suspicious that they have your phone number from somewhere and appear to be able to recognise that your machine is connected.

Oh there's no doubt they have my phone number - but if they are as good as they say they are, they will be able to spot I'm not using Windows

Being honest - they amuse me

I've just had two emails from Fed Ex. I hope it's the $20,000,000 as promised by a very nice Nigerian Gentleman some time ago, and, at the very least, a full set of Pentax lenses which I once saw a photograph of. To allow the delivery to be a total surprise I deleted both emails without opening
