I can come out after a couple of weeks and pick up a camera and a wineglass again.
Perhaps if you replaced the wine glass with a lens your photography would improve

OK, so every shot of the 'important' people in the crowd at the Olympics has Cameron in it..

...no wonder we're slipping into another crisis...

....nobody's running the country!!!

You think politicians run the country? Bankers and civil servants more like. K.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

I think Nick has been left in charge.

David probably told him to sit there and not to touch anything!

Grrrh - my heart etc has just done a HUGE flip.

My mad Yank mate in London - to escape certain happenings there [ he lives too near Stratford ] decided to cycle to Santiago de Compostela for his summer holiday - as of course you do

Well after a traumatic start where once he got down to Dover the technical stuff packed up on him , he returned to London , sorted out his technology and started again.

He's now in Pamplona - going nicely by looking at his tracker [ wonderful gadget that has worked superbly ] and I've just had a phone call from him !!

The phone was to be kept for dire emergencies - text messages could be sent at night daytime use was banned.

He'd phoned a contact in Pamplona only to be greeted by a long spiel in very fast Spanish - wasn't sure if this was an answering m/c or a phone problem - so rang me to find out if phone was working !!!

Men - I'm still recovering

So was that is a Yes then.
When I used a satellite phone whilst at sea Mrs Snap said it always made me sound so depressed. I wonder if that had anything to do with the cost of a call, someting in the region of £1.60 a minute or part thereof and £2.50 if she called me

Oh I think we gathered the phone was working

Though his tracker is Satellite the phone is his UK Mobile. I think what had thrown him was that whatever he got on the Phone was in Spanish [ and he has virtually none ] when he had expected it to be answered in Ukrainian

I'l hear some tales when he gets back I'm sure
