Wow! what a great race this morning. As a long time Williams supporter I am a relatively happy bunny. Good to see them getting points today - and a nice birthday present for Sir Frank for tomorrow.

Wonderful to see such exciting racing, and congrats to Nico on his first very well deserved win.

Am I really the only person who thinks that 100 year old news story about a ship sinking isn't the most important thing in the world?

It`s all smoke and mirrors mateys - designed to divert we hoi polloi from the important things going on around us !! {hope that`s not political JR ! }

We have become a nation of weepers as well as whingers - started with Gazza and carried on through Diana and every single thing they could promote to "get us going"
I`m out to finish jet washing the driveway whilst the sun is shining.

Sad news about Gibb though and I see Megrahi is failing fast too - he`s on the same tabs as me !!

I'll be flying back into the UK late this afternoon.

Dublin has been fun - though I' not seen much of anything beyond th bit round the Hotel and Church where I have been for the last week

Next time you are there try one of the tour buses. If you get the "right" driver the commentary alone is worth the fare. Typical remark about a statue "he was a very moral man although it was said you couldn't throw a stone anywhere in Ireland without hitting one of his children"

My favourite comment from the driver who did our tour last year was that Queen Elizabeth the Second of England and Scotland was visiting Dublin later in the year.

I really had to straighten the driver out about that one. - and he did understand why I was irritated once I explained. I heard from someone who went on the same trip with a different driver the next day that the statement had been corrected and they had told to be careful since Scotland had never had a Queen Elizabeth the First .

Those tours are remarkable good value since you can have another go at it the next day on your original ticket.

The best value bus tour for me had to be Havana. There were three different buses and the price for an unlimited day ticket was less than a pound!

Mind you, the average monthly salary in Cuba is only about £5 a month which puts it into perspective a little.

So the Welsh weren't even included, the bus driver wasn't Ann Robinson by any chance

Have I missed the goths?

Or was it just coincidence that 2, yes 2 Pentax users were in Whitby at the same time?
