Going back a bit - I'm posting this from my iPad in Dublin.

I have both a Kindle ( with a lot of books both free and paid for on it ) and this just over 2week old iPad 2 . The Pad has already proved how good it is as at Church last night I had to hand over my copy of the Service ( a mere 14 pages ) to someone who had forgotten theirs , but thanks to this , as the whole thing was in PDF form on the Pad I was able to follow the whole thing in both languages.

I love my Kindle but the Pad does have some great features

Er it'll be our 30th in May and she's laid up with this leg thing!

How on earth are we going to do the anniversary waltz??!

Belatted greetings for the day Barrie.

Was cooking up some fish fingers, onions and beans tonight and listening to an interesting programme on Radio 4. Went through to the drawing room to eat and turned to Radio 4 on Freeview to hear the rest of it. Up came the dreaded graphic -- Radio 4 is not available on Freeview on weekdays from 5pm to midnight, Saturdays from 4pm to 1am and Sundays from 4pm to midnight.

Why? to make room for the Gaelic TV, which has a potential audience of 1,000 people, 999 of whom are involved in producing the programmes and therefore unavailable to watch them. I thought we'd settled all this nonsense at Culloden.

A furious Al

Did somebody nick the wheels Barrie?

Or did you get chance to have a drink?

Well over a week into the broken leg adventure.

She's holding up well, better than me, I'm knac****d from all the running around after her.

I'm off to collect a wheelchair tomorrow, I can't get my head round why we need one, the boss say's it's so she can get out and about.

I think she's trying to slim me down with all the pushing I'll be doing!
Cheers, HG

I was in a below knee plaster after our horse stood heavily on my foot and he wouldn't lift his foot either. I went shopping on full length crutches carrying my own bag too - admittedly that was not easy. Was back at work as soon as the plaster was properly dry.

I positively HATED being on crutches even though I was driving the car as usual

I remember when I was on crutches, sheer hell!!

As soon as I could walk with a stick the crutches went back, it seems strange that the boss never offered to get me a wheelchair.

Maybe she knew something I don't.

Tidying time, we've some good friends coming for the evening meal tonight...

... so good that Anne's bringing it with her!
