We don't have 1st and 2nd class postage - it all gets delivered the next day within NL. Death announcement letters get delivered the same day in the same postal area!!!
It costs 50 €cents for a letter of up to 20 grams and €1 for letters 20g to 50g.
A letter to Europe costs 85 €cents to 20g and you guessed it €1.70 for 20 to 50g. A letter to the rest of the world costs 95 €cents and €1.90.
Then of course there are the alternative, private companies, but I have no idea what they charge. They may be business letters only, though they do take parcels.

Changing the subject I have been wasting a lot of time watching these lately, and their rivals too.

Thanks for those. I can waste time
as well now.

There's someone just been on Radio 2 who's bought £4,000 worth
of First Class Stamps this morning and a Postmaster came
on later saying they were mad busy and would people not bother
going to a PO with the intention of paying with a cheque unless
it's already been approved that they can do so.

I suppose small shopkeepers who sell stamps will be
stocking up as well

Don't mention Drink. I have a bottle of Bourbon that I don't like, but it has to go.

The only place for Bourbon is down the sink. Now a decent malt on the other hand....

Malt is what you had on a spoon in the winter.
