Back from Edinburgh, crackin City. Managed lots of pix but we won`t talk about that here. The giant pandas are interesting, the male was stuffing himself with bamboo and the female just sleeping. As for Koala bears, the ones in the zoo just slept and looked kinda cute stuck in the trees.

Found a nice wee pub "The Teuchster" spelling forgiveness please. They had varities of Scotch from wall to wall. A pint and a Stovie followed by more sightseeing.

North Berwick also a wicked spot, got quite close to some cliff nesting Kittiwakes (Not close enough to give them a problem) I think they realise us Human types don`t climb cliffs.

Just been offered a beer from Mrs Cedric.
Enjoy life

Just been in ST Enoch Square picking up my daughter from a class and witnessed the most violent fight I've ever seen. At one point the man was sitting astride the woman headbutting her face as she's lying on the ground and then grabbing her by the hair and smashing her head off the ground. All this surrounded by Portugese, Japanese and German (I kid you not, they were wearing lederhausen) tourists. It turns the fighters were both extermely drunk women. Then some guy tries to pick a fight with every passer-by and throws a punch at me. He then has another go at me in front of three cops. Isn't Glasgow, alcohol and an Old Firm Match a wonderful combination? Its a national disgrace.

"The Teuchster"

Spelt Teuchter, generally a term of derision for Highlanders and inhabitants of the Wester Isles but they use it too so it could just be a term of derision for anyone who was born and bred north-west of you.

It could well descibe anyone attempting to look like the picture of me to the west of this text.

We drive less than 3000 miles per year in the Astra and my MOT garage say a service is not necessary more than once every two years as long as they check the oil etc during MOT.

Last year with two (cheap tyres) and a service - £327 this year MOT £50

My old Fiat passed the last MOT...

.... but I was told not to take her back next year as she would need far too much work to make it worth keeping her.

Still, I now have a brand new fiat so...
Cheers, HG

Hope they set the clock to BST for you.

Had a go today at changing the clock on my Peugeot 3008, as I thought would happen, I crashed the on board computer, so now it will have be a trip to the dealers with a red face. Luckily it will still start and drive, well the electronic handbrake released, but not been on the road to see if the electronics will still operate the gearbox.
Hope they will reset it for free, its only done 110 miles, that’s since last November. Damn these electronics, the work of the devil himself.

But one success, after much trial and error, plus lot of very bad language, I reset the clock on my K5, trouble is I ended up pressing buttons that many times, I don’t really know how I achieved the end result, I think now it will stay on BST, much better for my blood pressure.

Used to have a Mitsubishi Shogun, that was approx £500.00 a time, for a service, and the depreciation, was eye watering. Cost new £25,000.00 plus, because I had extras fitted, sold for £1600.00, with less than 10,000 miles on the clock.

Take care.

You haven't crashed the onboard computer. You can't do that just changing the time.
Did you read the handbook?

Wouldn't it be cheaper for you to rent a car when you need one rather than having one depreciating on the drive which is never used?

I find it hard to believe that you've done anything to the computer. However you could try disconnecting the battery. Make sure you have the radio code if its needed.
