Thanks again Gareth - I think the major moan is that the signal can drop easily and too far from the router does not help.
Rather than a dongle maybe I will experiment with an ethernet cable and Jo`s laptop as a booster.

Don't know exactly what you are trying to do Tony but I send a signal from the router to my wife's laptop downstairs using the mains. You need an adapter plugged into the mains socket and plug in a cat 5 cable from the router, and a cat 5 network cable from the adapter in any room on the ring main to the laptop (or other network item, printer etc) Hope this helps.

Have you tried dropping it in the bath yet? If it does what it says it could be quite impressive!

I've just sold two of my photographs but don't tell the tax man. They had to be cream on brown (sepia) to match her living room decor. Thank goodness for photoshop

In which case you don't need to covert them to sepia. It will happen naturally in a couple of months!

Well done Stan!

I'm currently trying to cram too much stuff into too small a bag to take on holiday.
The main problem is the tripod which just takes up so much flipping space in my duffel bag. I had to take the head off just to fit it in. Plus fleeces don't allow themselves to be squashed down or rolled up small.
The bag needs to be small because the cabins aren't that big and with two of us in there we don't need big suitcases taking up valuable room.
Thank goodness they have a washing machine on board.

Then there is the decision of what lenses to take, (probably the Sigma 18-250, the 18-135 because it is WR and light, and my A 50mm 1.7 for if we get the Lights) all the blinking chargers and paraphernalia.

I hate this bit of the holiday process.

Gwyn - I`ve stopped silly camera packing too - now its the K20,monopod,spare charge,18-55,70-300 FAJ ( feather light compared to the Sigma 28-300 ) and maybe one other depending on location.

Have a great one

Holiday camera bag for me is K200 with Tammy 18-250, DA40, spare battery set and charger. That fits in my Slingshot 100 with space to spare.

When I use my Fastpack 200 I can get the net book and a change of clothing in as well, great for short haul breaks.

Oh, and I just need to say BEER!
Cheers, HG

K110+DA40, K200+DA35, K3 and a bag of lenses, bodies and other bits.

Mustn't forget the Zenits, or folders, or...

PPG entries.
