I noticed this morning a rose and rhododendrons in bloom but no daffodils yet and heard and saw a woodpecker for the first time in my life. I didn't know we had them in round here.
No roses or rhodies here yet. Everything was knocked back by our very cold spell at the beginning of the month.

The woodpeckers have been hammering away for a couple of weeks now in our woods, the buzzards are beginning to sing and dance, the herons are back at the heronry, and the dawn chorus has begun.
Spring really must be just around the corner .

I`m not sure how big your "tank" is my friend but mine costs £80 !!

I`m with Virgin and get a landline,an XL V+ package with free HD and 20 mb broadband ( soon to be 60mb for no extra ) for £54 on average depending on how often Jo rings her sister in Canada.
We get all the good stuff - Discovery,History,Nat Geo,Bio,ESPN,Eurosport etc etc.

Now I'm jealous. I used to have cable at my previous address but am stuck out here in the twilight zone of minimun speed for everything
And it is never going to get better as they will never improve things in this small dying villiage as it will nevewr be cost effective.

Watch this clip on the BBC website before they open their ears and take it down.

Nick Clegg's political career is over at 29 seconds!

Same old same old. Where are the jobs coming from? In the Newcastle area alone there are thousands of sqaure feet of offices etc., for rent but very little in the "productive" sector.

On the way into Ashington this after noon, another almost terminal area, there were lots of daffodils open and lots in bud so its not all bad news

I think they call that a "Freudian Slip" !

Freudian slip indeed.

Initially I thought it was purely a political posting, but then I thought - no Ken wouldn't do that.

Well spotted Ken, it took me three listens to pick up Mr Clegg's real opinion of "every 18 to 24 year old" in this country. How long before the BBC become aware of what they are broadcasting!

It double amuses me after our comments on the suitability of content in the jokes section.

Clearly Mr Clegg should be banned from this forum.

Well dragged myself away from the computer went down stairs put my hearing aids in on full power came back upstairs clicked the link, jacked up the volume of the hi-fi rigged up to the computer and listened, twice. Sounded like he said the C you next tuesday word

I don't think he said anything like what the 18 - 24 year old youth of this country probably think of politicians in general.

Just waiting for this thread to be shut now as it's way way outside the rules

This has lasted for 733 pages so far, so no need to spoil it now is there?
Best regards, John
