It's a trip out to a curry house tonight, my son has come over to use our shower, the one in his rented house has died!

He smells a lot better now so...

I can't remember if I mentioned all the things that have gone wrong in the house since I went into Hospital.
1/ TV blown up replaced
2/ Fridge blown up replaced
3/ Old hard disc recorder not compatible with New TV replaced
4/ Baxi boiler fault repairman Monday
5/ New HDR not working with new TV exchanged
4/ Toilet Cistern repairman tomorrow

I think 2012 can only go downhill from here.

Oh one good thing the little hook thing has come so I can fix the tripod mount for the DA300

We have just had our coldest February night since 1956. One place it went down to -23. Here it was a balmy -17 at 9 am.

I know that is not cold for Russians, or Canadians or Some Americans, but for us, with our maritime climate it is cold.

Speed limits lowered on all the motorways as salt doesn't work below -7 and after yesterdays snow they are really dangerous.

I'm glad it is the weekend and my husband gets to walk the dog! No I'm not going with him to take photos, even though it is a stunning morning. Wimp. No dedication blah blah blah.

You have a window don't you Gwyn?

Shoot through that and stay in the warmth, that's what I'd do.

How's things this morning Barrie? Hope you're both feeling better and warm. There's no need to go out so crank up the heating and stay snug.

I've just got back from collecting another package the post office couldn't be bothered delivering correctly. Think I'll start charging them for my mileage.
Cheers, HG

I'm fine thanks HG. I was thinking of venturing out. First week back you are supposed to do 2 x 5mins walks per day as part of rehab.

It's +1 here with snow forcast later

Barrie - if it's cold and nasty - do NOT go out for your wee walk - you can get your excercise walking round the house - just think how many trips to the kitchen it can take to make a cup of coffee - and the walking round the kitchen - finding the beakers , putting them beside the kettle , realising the kettle needs water , filling it . Don't think about saving yourself effort by doing time and motion study - just do each step one at a time

Get out if it's nice and relatively warm [ and hopefully dry ]

Hope you are wearing your snazzy white socks

My washing machine is frozen .
It lives in the garage, which is attached to the house, but unheated.
It has survived all previous winters just fine, including colder ones than this, but now it is frozen. I have run it most nights just to keep things moving, but forgot last night.

OOPS - hope it thaws out soon Gwyn.

I'm travelling down to London on Wednesday for daughter #2's wedding which is in a Country House Hotel [ Rowhill Grange ] in Kent . Weather forecast is a little 'iffy'.

What with nasty weather , and the derailment on the West Coast Line this week [ and it's not back to normal yet ] I'm getting a wee bittie concerned as to what can now go adrift .

I'll double check I have enough Cards for the camera , spare set of batteries for it and another set for the Flash .

Argh - panic panic

TT, It's started snowing here so you will be pleased to know the afternoon walk has been called off.

As for white socks I left them in the hospital. The most pain of the whole affair was trying to get them on over the leg wound.
