Blasted Registrar - the Bride has just phoned me to say " Mother you will have to talk to the Registrar on Saturday - we are having a fight about my name !! "
either the woman can't pronounce her first name - Catriona - despite coaching from Madam or she can't cope with her third name - which is Portugese [ de Proança ] but not hard
I'm beginning to look slightly apprehensively at this Wedding [/rant]
Mother of the Bride is getting stressed

My washing machine is frozen .
It lives in the garage, which is attached to the house, but unheated.
It has survived all previous winters just fine, including colder ones than this, but now it is frozen. I have run it most nights just to keep things moving, but forgot last night.
If you have a hand lamp/small table lamp or inspection lamp. Put a 40W bulb or 15W/25W pygmy bulb in and put it under the machine then cover all with a sheet of polythene. This can be left on overnight at minimum cost and generates just enough heat to keep most things frost freeMy washing machine is frozen .

I'd have thought in this day and age a registrar would come across far more difficult to pronounce names than those .
When my eldest son married the registrar went to great lengths to pronounce Christopher correctly, rather than as Christoffer. She also pronounced our surname correctly, and my daughter in laws difficult German surname, and managed to say a few words in both English and German during the ceremony.
Don't fret your self TT. Your daughter will still be married even if the registrar cocks up the pronunciation. Just grin a bear it.

Changed your link slightly to include www and pressed the camera. Pressed the browse button and selected the pic I wanted. Prior to pressing browse there was a button on the right which said "search" this has now gone. So what happens next, it appears to be doing nothingFrogherder wrote:

Belay that last comment. I've redone it using Firefox and I get a whole page of "similar" pics, none of which bear the slightest resemblance to the guy I'm trying to identify

Google doesn't know him, does anyone here?
We think he's an English actor, might be satirical comic, but from a few years back
