Sorry HG - I was trying to forget that - wasn`t it you who sked if they had any Lava Lamps ? I remember the seller erupting and saying if you want good wine go up and see my other shop on Vesuvius......................

Yes that was me, I also asked if he could turn the thermostat down when we got to the Vesvius bar..

Winter seems to have finally arrived. Woke up to a light dusting of snow, and -2C. It had gone down to -6 in the night.
It is now really grey and nasty looking, but I am assured tomorrow will be a brilliant winters day, but colder than today.
Some people are getting the skates sharpened in anticipation of enough ice later in the week.
Doesn't look like it will last much more than a week though.
Hopefully we have had all the snow we're going to get.

Finally got round to watching We`ll Take Manhattan last night - sympathetic portrayal of Bailey and The Shrimp - nicely played and it was a Pentax S3 he used mostly with a Rolleiflex TLR when forced to.

just been to the dentist. Have to go back tomorrow. Better get the cheque book out. I think my teeth have cost me the price of several camera bodies in the last two years!
