I would never buy a side-by-side again.
Had it two years and it's broken three times. The first time it wouldn't cool the fridge because of a fault and despite all the electronics not a single alarm or warning!
I will never buy from Whirlpool again!

Hooray car passed MOT
Sad they found hole in the radiator replacement on on its way.
And I had just succumbed to the LBA affliction

His Nibs is collecting his new company car this afternoon. It was supposed to be delivered in April, but the earthquake put paid to that.
He is off to Limours in France in it on Sunday afternoon. A good job it's a company car because he will beat the **** out of it on the way there and back. I know modern cars don't need a running in period but foot to the floor for several hours when it is 2 days old doesn't strike me as being good for it.
Last company car before he retires.

Hammering a car like that is not good for the long term. Treating it gently for the first 1000 miles or so will reap benefits later on.

Hmm. I make it a point of buying ex-fleet. You know they've usually been well serviced.
I've bought cars for £5/6K which have just had £2k spent on them by the company!

Reps Cars,
1. They travel faster in all gears, especially reverse.
2. They accelerate at a phenomenal rate.
3. They enjoy a much shorter braking distance.
4. They can take bumps at twice the speed on private cars.
5. Oil, battery, tire pressures and fluid levels do not need to be checked nearly so often.
6. They have a much tighter turning radius.
7. The floor is shaped like an ashtray.
8. They only burn the cheapest gas available.
9. They do not have to be garaged at night.
10. They can be driven up to 100 miles with the oil warning light on.
11. They need cleaning less often, especially inside.
12. The suspension and trunk floor are reinforced to allow concrete slabs and other heavy building materials to be carried.
13. They are adapted to allow reverse to be engaged while the car is still in forward motion.
14. The tire side walls are designed for bumping into and over curbs.
15. Unusual and alarming engine noises are easily eliminated by the adjustment of the radio volume control.
16. No security is need. They may be left anywhere, unlocked, with the keys in the ignition.

Good job he's not a rep then .
He promises to take it easy on his drive on Sunday - at least until the end of the street .
I should take a photo of it - it is pristine and shiny and very very white - something it will never be again .
It's complicated to set up it almost makes me long for an old Land Rover .

This is in a similar vein:
What's the best off roader available? Someone else's truck!
I always notice that people are a lot keener to egg others on when they won't have to pay the repair bill should it go pear-shaped...

It'll probably turn out to be a web address
