Well Cosford was a downer !! Arrived at 08-30 and it was filling up even then - piddling down and grey and low cloud - hardly any planes flew apart from some intrepid stunters and some choppers.A Hawk jet and the Tornado tried to cheer us up along with a short display by the Arrows. The day was further spoiled by over two hours trying to leave the parking area !! No Vulcan,Historic flight,Mustang, etc etc - very few photos and very cold and miserable - eh ho - maybe next year they will do it in the summer !!!!

I'm just a poor boy
I need no sympathy
(evidently Freddie had bought a lot of Ltds. How else would you end up poor but not asking for sympathy? )

I think we are going to have to hold some auditions here if this is to continue. I'm sure one of you is out of tune.

There was a series of Spotmatic adverts with the slogan "X's Pentax". I know Alan Whicker and Spike Milligan both featured, or at least their Spotties did!

Last night I picked a couple of pounds of gooseberries off my one surviving bush, the others died over winter.
Today the bush is almost stripped of leaves and the sole miscreant appears to be a single green caterpillar about 8mm long.
It didn't even hang around long enough for me to photograph it, I couldn't find it 5 mins later.

We had that, it's a moth of some sort and destroyed our gooseberry bushes regularly.
So much so that we never got a crop and the bushes eventually died.
Off out to a nice little French restaurant now for a superb meal..
..see you guys later.
