When I'm (capable of) seeing grey hair, I get out the 3 bottles. Bottles 1 and 2 I mix together and put on hair. From bottle 3 I take a GOOD slug. After 20 minutes or so I feel fine, some what!

Cheers,

Stephen

S-J - top acts, no wonder you had a balst! I still listen to 'How Dare You' now and then (on vinyl). Supertramp are legendary of course...

I now have a winder for my MX. Think £50 may have been a little over the odds, but I haggled it down from £70 and I don't often see the MX winders.

Wish I knew why on earth Pentax had to make the MX so it needed its own dedicated winder rather than the usual Winder ME II, which fits pretty much all the other M-series bodies!

The MX is wider due to the shutter mechanism, inherited from the Spotmatic.

The extra width also makes it easier to hold in my opinion.

Just waiting for tea now, we'll eat when Honesty's friends have gone, Soon I hope!

The MX is the only M series body I've used much - I also have an ME Super, MG and a couple of MV1s here but oddly enough the MX is much more appealing to use.

I think it's now going to morph from "pocket SLR" to "accessorised monster"

Well the log pile looks like it's going to last a lot longer than the last load.

Something to do with warmer weather and a big hot thing in the sky.

Besides that we can discuss anything on this thread, my mum sez so!

Their Green Ginger Wine is much much nicer, and if you find it too strong you can thin it down with Whiskey or Brandy, 1:1 is about right

Alternatively you can put a small amount in a tumbler and top up with chilled lemonade, very nice on a warm summer evening, especially if you also add the Whiskey

Must admit I had never heard of Ambico Tripods! So looked them up on the web and apologies in advance but could not resist showing what I found...
Quote from a forum:

"Purchased my 2nd Ambico Tripod 5 weeks ago. The first one I had lost the lower leg (it just fell out while I was walking). I had only used it about 15-20 times, but figured it was just "one of those things that happens" occasionally.
Bought a 2nd one 5 weeks ago. Used it 3 times, and the lower leg fell out. Attempted to fix it, but cannot make it tight up enough to stay it.

Will never buy another Ambico product again. They may be well priced, but even at $20 or so, I don't want to replace them everytime I do some photography!"
Regards
David

Retired at last - now all that time for photography - you would think: wink:

David, what do you think of these www.berlebach.de ?
I'm sure some members can appreciate the vintage of it, would go well with a Billingham bag

I think my next tripod is going to be a Gitzo.
