I am cruising my narrowboat down the Avon to Tewkesbury, in bright sunshine. Possibly my last journey as the boat is going there to be sold

That's a shame for you. Are you anywhere near George? You could call in for a cuppa

Thanks for the kind comments. No buzz, but it tasted ok - a bit like a G&T.

Seems I've got Alien in my right lung.

Probably not.

We're thinking of heading down to the pair of knees, sorry, that's tony in shorts again!

I meant the Pyrenees, when we get away in July. No plans made yet, just surfing the net and looking at hotels.

Why do I have to work in this weather?
Cheers, HG

We're going beginning of June with a bit of luck, so I shall miss the sight of Tony's snow capped knees, and lucky him, he will miss my milk bottle legs .

Oggy - Alien in your lung sounds a bit grim, and painful. Hope he escapes and you are feeling better soon.

after throwing up last night and fitfully sleeping most of today, I almost feel human again.
Then I get told that the building will probably have scaffolding from 1.May to November. And it's going to cost us a fortune. Yes, we'll get new windows, glass on the balcony and I don't know what else, but it means I've got to shift all the plants
