Please only post Pentax images and also ones we actually have copyright of, or permission to use. Otherwise, links are generally OK.

Hello John, I thought you'd forgotten about this thread!
Just back from 2 days in York, gave the I10 an outing and am about to look at the results. Hope they're somewhere near as good as you get.

Please just follow the convention Stefan, we're not getting involved in a debate about it. We all know Pentax only is the norm and we all know we have to abide by copyright rules, unless you're telling me you took the image and that's then a different matter?
Best regards, John

Stefan, I have replied to your report and it really is time you moved on from this. There's more to talk about on this forum that has something to do with Pentax User. Please remember the title of the website...
Now let's all be friends and settle down.

John wasn't it custom not to discuss moderating matters on the forum?

The HSTs have been handed over to various leasing companies who in turn lease them to train operators, I'm not sure what liveries they're turning up in nowadays but none of the privatised TOCs seem to be able to come up with a design anything like as elegant as BR used to manage.
To misquote an article I read recently: The HST was intended as a stop-gap until the Advanced Passenger Train was ready. The APT was cancelled. Now, over thirty years on the same HST is a stop-gap for yet another new design which is being cancelled!
For a 1970s design they're holding up amazingly well, and I really hope that at least one set is preserved in original condition.

We can post links to sites containing the photos, we're just not allowed to hotlink to them (which is bad manners anyway - you're using that persons bandwidth without asking).

Now you are just being childish Stefan. If you have a photo of Thalys which you took then post that, but you don't hold the copyright for the one you posted, nor do you know who does to get permission to post it here. Let it go.Matt if we can't post any photos i doubt we are also not allowed to talk about it... it isn't Pentax after al
Now back to pointlessness......

No I don't, but you have had John's reply here and that should be it. Take up with him privately if you must, not here.
Please just let it go.

I really like how the "Dutch" (it's French, German and Belgium) HST looks, even the name is quite sexy Thalys.
