Oh come on Flossie, have you never watched Grand Designs? nothing ever goes to plan, especially if you rely on a builder or outside contractor

Let us know which week in January they manage to finish

HG - we considered something similar but haven't done anything about it. Since we still hope to move sometime in the not to distant future I am not going to invest in one for this house. Maybe for the next house.

Copper over the road has a similar system, and enough wood to keep him going for three years. He has shares in a small woodland which is grown for just that purpose.

Cold here today - just 13C , so I shall be lighting a fire tonight.

The stove is superb, but not cheap.

We're expecting the first wood delivery for the winter log pile next Saturday.

I'll be working so the girls will have to manage without me.

Now how did this thread start?

Well I hope you only need one of them .

Have lit the fire tonight, but for some reason it is not happy, and isn't burning well

Ok, I know there isn't supposed to be any camera content in this thread, but...My Dad just bought a K7 (at last!)

Came with the WR 18-55mm and 50-200mm, battery is currently charging. Hoping it won't be too steep a learning curve from his K2...

Are you sure about that - you could upgrade from the K-m.

Ah, there is a better plan. He was on about a Bigma a couple of months ago, so if he takes to the K7...

As you will see from my picture, I don't do cold. Poor Mrs Oggy is at the other end of the scale. She was cold when we were in the Middle East together.

It can be difficult. At the moment she is cuddled up on the sofa in two fleeces under a rug and I am in me shorts.

Have you checked the ash pan Gwyn?

When ours needs emptying the stove refuses to do anything!

Failing that throw some petr...

... on second thoughts, don't!

The way the weather's been going we will use all the wood, besides we have a further, smaller delivery in November, and again in January.
