I think the neighbour son may have a job! He left at 7 this morning - music thumping at high volume in the car of course, but he is out. Peace!

I hate Spooks. Glad some of you are looking forward to it though.

I enjoyed watching the Young Ones this week - all those "ancient" former stars and the way they improved. Though I do wonder if it was more the company than 1975 that helped some of them.

Think you have something there Gwyn - also the fact that they had to do everything themselves .

Brilliant piece of tv - intelligent Big Brother almost !

I agree with the company/self motivation/independance rather than the period - very moving in parts and very well put together.

I like Spooks - will be looking out for its arrival ( maybe the details are top secret ? )

Amazing how technology can respond to a good thump ! Not always successful though , Jo`s laptop refused to start , man said - motherboard - buy a new one.So I did , after much fiddling inside - managed to rescue and format the hard drive and with a bit of kit for under £4 from Ebay I have transferred ALL my photos to it as an external storage/backup.
Will report back if I find anything else useful inside lol.............

Sunny,showers and chilly here.
BTW I noticed a couple of Pentaxians in the throngs outside the College in Twickenham where the Pope was on BBC NEWS24 this AM.

I saw a Pentax in Edinburgh (on the way to the pub) yesterday. The K5 better be good because the D700 looks like a cracker. (Oops, forgot the no talking about photography rule.)

So four pints and a burger and good company last night. Makes you remember what life is about. It was even warm enough to sit outside (smoking) for a while.

I wonder if the Pope uses Pentax? Or Popax?

Erm...

On a recent visit to Barcelona I saw far too many Pentax cameras in use, the Spanish must have them all!

It's been nice here, the sun was shining but he temperature's stayed cool all day.

The first thing I did when I got in from work at 5 was light the fire. Nice and toasty in the house now as the central heatings kicked in.
Cheers, HG

I'm still resisting putting the heating on. We have had a fire a couple of nights, but most nights we just pile on the warm clothes.
Got to pay for that K-5 somehow

Just watched New Tricks. I hadn't realised a new series started last week.
Never mind I'll be watching it from now on, safe in the knowledge that the one I missed will be repeated before too long.

Spooks starts at 9pm on Monday for those interested in it.

The central heating is run from the fire. It heats the water and the house, we can even cook on it!

Best thing we ever did, so far.

Recorded New Tricks to watch tomorrow.

wish i COULD put the central heating on. The builders have failed to put in the new window and door on the conversion - as promised for last week...why doesn't that surprise me, only running 3 weeks late on a "6 week" job so far - and the boiler was is out of action until the new radiators are installed, so there's a several gaping hole in the side of the house partially covered by plywood and the temperatures have dropped. Result? its freeeeezing... currently digging all the emergency electric heaters out of the attic!

Good luck with the builders.

Just for info, this is the stove we have. It's the only one we COULD have in a smokeless area.

Well worth the week it took to fit.
Cheers, HG
