Park Güell is much more interesting and far less touristy.
We must have caught it on a busy day then, I think half of the City was there

And the Rambalas has many attractions, although photography isn't top of most lists

Heading to the Spiegeltent tomorrow night to soak up the atmosphere! It's amazing how the more you drink, the more atmospheric it gets!

Thanks for the advice 'spider, were only there for 4 days but Park Güell, the Ramblas and several bars are on the list.

I think I should be OK with an 8gig card, although there'll be a spare 4gig one in a pocket!
Cheers, HG

Be careful of pickpockets and muggers in Barcelona! The place is notorious for them.

If you can get to the Cathedral (not Sagrada Familia) you may be lucky enough to see the locals joining in the Sardana on the square in front of it on Saturday evening. It is one of my lasting memories of Barcelona.

They are currently taking down scaffolding a SF so the routes inside are constatly changing, but you may be able to get some good, scaffold free shots too.

I'se back - well sort of

Just relaxing in my Hotel room in Brussels and it's SUNNY

I've had my K-x out on 3 occasions only the only times it was dry

Today I was told not to bring it out [ well we went shopping ] and I used the Optio instead .

Back home on Saturday evening and the decorator is coming back in on the Sunday. I'll be glad when all is finished

A shame about the weather - I saw how much rain you got. It was supposed to come over us, but went south of us instead, so over you.

Enjoy Brussels in the sun. Tuck into some moules friets, waffles and some chocholate. Especially the chocolate .

i hope you had a good break even if it did rain.

Been nice wandering round Brussels

Had a nice meal tonight in a very Italian restaurant - followed by Beer in a Hotel room

Had a good time - some healing once more and plenty of relaxation.

Will look at the few piccies I took once home - and NO for folk who wonder - a certain Statue has NOT been photographed - though I do have a lock which may well fascinate Andrew

The next page will be 200, I didn't think this thread would last this long when I started it.

Let me get home first

It's still early in Brussels and I'll be heading for the Eurostar later this morning then one night in London and I'll be home on Saturday evening.

Consumption of beer last night was fun - 2 bottles of Leffe 9% before dinner . Leffe Blonde with dinner and then another new one Bush [ 12.5% ] once we were back in the hotel as a night cap with lots of talk .

Now I need my breakfast and then will shut my case [ I hope ] and head to Midi.

I had five pints of Peroni in George Street last night. God my head hurts. Worried that if I close my eyes I'll go straight back to sleep.

Still, I can have a lie down in 12 hours time.

Is alcoholism a side effect of using Pentax kit...

... or if Carlsberg/Peroni/Leffe and the rest, made cameras would they be Pentax?
